Oracle tailgate light

I just got the Oracle tailgate light and yes it was a bit more expensive than doing it with the light bar options that I've seen people do carried over from jeeps but I figured it would look a little more OEM....

Well I got it and although getting the washers and nuts on being a bit if a PIA the main issue I have is that it doesn't seem to ma check the shape of the original cover. I'll probably keep it because it serves it's purpose but doesn't look as OEM.

Anybody else try this lighting option for the tailgate area and have this issue?

Maybe I can get.. And use a heat gun to adjust the shape ...
