I recently installed a small 2" spacer leveling kit on my 2022 Bronco. I didn't have electronic hardware to make the software upgrades on my own so went to a 3rd party. The comment from the was, "it's not needed", Ford just wants your money. This doesn't make sense to me, I mean, I'm sure Ford wants our money but I'd think there woud have to be a software mod for this to be accurate after the change.

What correct, if you go from stock 31" tires to 34.5" and a lift - do you have to make the internal software mods...gas mileage, speed etc...?

Any comments are welcome, thanks again.

Your post should be in forums, not marketplace.

Regardless, you should get an alignment after doing any suspension work. Make sure it’s camber and toe adjustments, most shops use a hunter machine.

When changing tire size you need to calibrate speedometer. FORScan can do that or a dealer can. There are threads here.

Not sure what sure what software upgrades you are referring to.

A spacer is just changing the height of the suspension. Unless you have active suspension, or change the tire size, you don't need a software update.

We need a mod to move this to General Discussion. No, a software update is not needed, but your Odometer and speedometer will show a lot faster and further than your actually going. This messes with traction control and many other things. Go get it reprogrammed, and you also need to get an alignment.
