Still surprised that no one's producing a rear slider!

Yes the side glass is removable but I hired a glass company to remove and reinstall after my top was painted. Can not tell they were removed.

Would’ve been nice if ford made the the rear window power that went into the tailgate. I guess you would lose the wiper and rear defrost. Rear wiper in my opinion is useless, this is my 3rd vehicle with one and I think I’ve used it 3 times in 10 years.

New 4Runner has it figured out ...

Even on my old FJC the rear window flips up separate of the one piece rear hatch and the rear wiper sits below the glass ...

I'd be down for that setup, with the back window rolling into the tailgate. I recall that config implemented on some station wagons back when I was a kid and seemed useful, not sure how often it's designed into vehicles these days.

Extremely uncommon, it's actually one of the quintessential things about the identify of the 4Runner that Toyota has kept for the 6th generation coming out in 2025. I'm not sure if much of anything else has it these days.

It is nice if you have big dogs in the back and also useful for carrying extremely long stuff (like 12 foot molding pieces from Lowes).

That's how Bronco's are except for the 1st and 6th gens.
