Does this connect directly to the ODBII connector?

Do you just need to use this once and you’re all set - or do you need to keep it plugged in?

I just adjusted via Forscan - but, is this essentially doing the same thing?

The directions are on the website: https://www.roughcountry.com/speedometer-calibrator-90015.html

No, there's a little more to it but its simple, from the rough country website:
"This plug and play device connects directly to your vehicle’s Diagnostic Link Connector Port and in just a few short minutes your speedometer reads true again! Rough Country’s Speedometer Calibration Devices don’t just simply change your in-dash readout, they update your vehicle’s ECM, ensuring accurate shift points and proper electronic stability control."

  • Easy Plug and Play connection
  • Updates OE ECM Shift Points to accommodate larger tires
  • Recalibrates Electronic Stability Control to work with larger tires

It stays plugged in behind a center console panel. As far as changing the speedometer it does the same thing. I don't think that forscan changes your shifting points (on a auto) or recalibrates the ESC for larger tires.

Huh…I wonder about the ESC - didn’t think about that. Manual transmission - but, that didn’t cross my mind.

But this says 2016-2020 Ford?
