Rough Shifting

I am curious if anybody else has issues with jerky shifting and clunks while shifting happening. I have a 2024 Bronco 2.3 Auto. It lurches and jerks while slowing down and shifting into 1st, slams into gear while accelerating sometimes, hunts for gears continously, makes a clunk noise into 1st from second when manually shifting while stopped. Have done multiple trans logic resets and have no DTCs. I did have two instances where the trans fluid got to 230 degrees while offroading. I have taken it to a dealer and they said its just the tires, is this normal activity or is mine having issues?

2.3 auto here, doesn’t seem normal to me. Mine does have an odd noise of gear changing during the first few minutes after a cold start, especially when it’s downshifting from 3rd to 1st gear. That usually goes away after driving a few miles. I believe I need to flush the transfer case in my case. But I don’t experience any of the issues you mention. To me, it sounds like something the dealer doesn’t want to touch.
For my noise, my dealer said, “if it’s not broken, don’t touch it. Its complex parts and opening the tcase can cause more issues." But I think that’s nonsense, it’s a machine designed to be serviced, and dealers are often known for waiting until your warranty expires before noting issues (at least in my area).

It also jolts when going into first manually while stopped and while downshifting coming to a stop. I was also getting a creaking noise from the front end, they tried to put the blame on my upper arms, it was my skid plate, bolted it down more and the noise stopped. Has me question if the trans is normal or not but it seems to not be the case as it definitely didn't do it before.

I think there could be something wrong with your transfer case. As far as I know, dealers are not authorized to inform you of potential new issues unless you specifically ask. At least Audi is like that. If you have a good dealer in your area, I’d recommend asking them to check your tcase; there could be something mechanically wrong, especially with hard shifting. I’ll be flushing mine later in the year to hopefully stop the weird noises. Earlier this year, another member told me and they have the same, which also happens at cold start. So I think it’s just a QC thing with Ford. In my case maybe not enough or condensed grease... who knows. All I know is that I've never had a truck doing this before

I don't believe it would be a t case issue in my case as it happens when shifting in 2wd and 4wd, it also makes a noise when downshifting and upshifting. In your case I definitely think it would be a t case
