My First memories of riding in a vehicle come from riding in my grandpa’s 1967 blueish Ford Bronco. When ford announced they were relaunching the Bronco, I knew I had to get/have one. I didn’t make a reservation and I didn’t want to order a first-year model. I want to wait for the quirks to get worked out. I eventually waited to long into 2022 and the order banks closed. The dealership I had been talking to and I was going to make an order thru, said they would call if one came up for sale.
Well In August that happened. My sales woman called and asked “If was still wanting one.” Well yes of course I did, “I asked what trim, color, and how much ADM,” She said “Black Dimond advanced 2.7l in Cyber Orange (exactly what I wanted to order maybe not that color, but now I wouldn’t choose any other color), she then told me it would be $1000.00 over MSPR (I was okay with that, knowing MSPR would be going up over that once I would be able to order one in 2023). I said “sold can I put a deposit down and come up Saturday to pick it up”, she said “yes.” So, I paid the deposit over the phone. Saturday, I showed up at 9:00 and there it was 2022 Cyber Orange Black Diamond Advanced, parked right up front. She greeted me at the door asked if I wanted to test drive it, well yeah. I test drove it, did my walk around, and an inspection based off everything I read here, and everything was perfect. She walked me to the Finance office and I handed him my preapproval note from my bank, he processed it and within 10 minutes I was walking out the door with the keys to my Bronco. My son and I have started calling it the Short Bus.
I’ve kept it stock for the most part.

I really didn’t want to lift it, but with the added weight of the ARB bumper and winch I knew I needed to do something to offset the rake of it. And now with the lift I am going to need (well this is what I’m telling the wife) larger tires to get rid of some of the wheel well gap. I’m trying to decided if I want 285/75/17 or 255/85/17 mounted on the Black Diamond steelies.
Things I still need to order;
Hammer Built tailgate reinforcement. https://hpbuilt.shop/products/hammer-built-bronco-tire-support-kit
Tires not sure what size yet depends on how the lift turns out and settles. 285/75/17 or 255/85/17 on factory steelies. From https://www.discounttiredirect.com/fitmentresult/tires/size/255-85-17 or https://www.discounttiredirect.com/buy-tires/nitto-ridge-grappler
I will Continue to add pictures as I install things.
