Stock steps question

I don’t mind the stock steps, they are just too low. Is anyone making a mount to move them up an inch or so? It looks like the existing mounts swoop super low. I added a 2x4 under one side just to get a visual. I like how they look raised 1.5. (See pic). Obviously I didn’t leave it there, it was just for the visual test.

Moving them also covers the pinch weld nicely.

I like this idea. I wonder if you could have a metal shop make new ones or modify the originals.
