The wheels and tires were the first things I changed, my least liked thing about the OBX. I'll also put a plug in for the Bestop Sunrider top and the Goose Gear rear seat delete kit as well.Got any big plans for it? Got a 2 door OBX coming soon (hopefully) and I'm debating what to do. I do kinda hate the OBX wheels...
Congratulations! Hope you both have been loving the new ride!
Absolutely have! We have been a Ford family our whole life. She has said that she has never loved a vehicle more than this one ever though!!!Congratulations! Hope you both have been loving the new ride!
How do you like the Bestop vs the MIC Top? Having never owned a jeep, I'm really not sure if I'll be Ok with just the removable panels, or if I want to open the entire roof. Thanks guys. We have added wheels/tires/bestop/lift and a few other little things. She loves it. View attachment 340020 View attachment 340021 View attachment 340022
We really like both tops. The hard top is pretty easy to remove and install and has the two front panels that are easy to remove and fit in the rear. The Bestop is great for the multiple configurations that can be utilized. You can slide the top back for the top to be almost fully open, and all windows are easy to slide in and out. Almost a fully open system that can be stored on board and not have to worry about getting rained on, also nice to have all the windows out and the top closed so the sun isn't beating down on you. If the MIC top had removable windows we probably wouldn't have bought the soft top. The only con for us, is with the lift and the top open it will hit the garage going in and out. That is because it doesn't fold all the way back, which I like because it doesn't impede the rear view.... have to give up something to get something I guess. I feel the same way about the Sunrider top, it gets opened every time I drive the Bronco. In comparison I might have taken off the front panels a handful of times in a summer.I consider the Bestop Sunrider the best mod I've done to the Bronco. After some adjustment I think it's actually quieter than the panels and to be able to just flip the top back anytime you want is just great. No futzing with taking the panels off and trying to store them in the back. My panels sit in the storage bag on a shelf in my garage. Might put them back on in the winter.
