Here’s a little project I just completed. This was an old Craftsman toolbox from the late 50s/early 60s that my grandpa used while he was working as a mechanic at a Ford dealership in Arkansas. He used it for nearly 40 years at work until he retired. He passed away in 2008 and it has sat in his shop untouched since. I got ahold of it a few weeks ago and decided to breathe some life back into it. Given the circumstances, Ford Blue paint was the only option! I think it turned out really well and hope to be able to fix as many things with it as he did.

Interesting timing. I'm in the middle of restoring the same top box. In silver though.

Cool deal! The paint on this one looked like it was originally a hammered silver. Hope yours goes great and hope to see it!

I like your Ford Blue. Here's one where I kept the paint original as a tribute to an FJ40 Land Cruiser.

& @FJ 432

I love seeing these old tool boxes come back to life! The badging and old school handles, certain details. You just don't see that anymore.

Now, maybe a bit off topic, but maybe you could slip in a pic or two of the bike!?! 😁

Haha good eye! Here’s the bike. Was a barn find and had been sitting for 10 years. Needed a good cleaning, a few wear item replacements, carbs cleaned, a tune up, and she was good to go! Had to get rid of the white paint too because it was chalky and not in great shape. Didn’t turn out too bad!

LOL, I think the Bronco is in good hands!

I have a co-worker that does old bike resto's. Of course they always end up beautiful.
I can see why folks are drawn to that, it always catches my eye too!

Thank you! I have a lot of fun restoring old things and keeping the new ones in good shape. I’ve done a couple other bikes and it’s always a good time. Even did a 77 F100 with my dad when I was 16. It was his truck when he was in high school. That’s what I told him I wanted to do for my birthday and he was more excited than I was I think. Always plotting new projects lol!
