View Current Altitude on Sync4 Navigation

Hi everyone,

I've got the Sync4 Navigation on the 12" screen. Does anyone know if it's possible to see the current elevation/altitude on the Sync factory navigation while driving (like current location details)? I've tried searching but no dice.

No, and it's annoying since that data is obviously tracked in the telemetry data on the vehicle.

I got a chep altimeter on Amazon and mounted it on the A pillar.

I was wondering the same, and couldn't find anything. I was looking on Amazon and then I thought to do a Google search and realized my Garmin watch has one.

It does way more than I will probably ever use lol

Yeah my Apple Watch has the same function. Easy solution, just disappointing that it’s not on one of the cards, especially since the data is clearly available.

For the record, an altimeter will show density altitude at standard pressure, not your actual elevation above sea level. I have an altimeter in my living room (nerd) and it can swing as much as 800 feet when a front moves in.

Correct and great point. I should have stated elevation (based on GPS) as my desired statistic.

I will be running my Garmin Tread Overland so that is a non-issue.
