Where to mount Winch Controls?

Will be installing a winch soon. Where is everyone mounting your controls? I've seen some mount the plug under the hood.... but wouldn't that be a pain in the ass? Also would like it to be somewhat protected from the elements.

Yea, you know what, I'm goign to run it into the the cab I think. If I need the remote outside, I"ll put it out of the window.

Looks like the JCR setup. How do you like it? Thinking of pulling the trigger on that instead of a new bumper. In pics it just looks like it sticks out a ton.

I like it. It doesn't stick out too bad. I can still fit it in the garage with room to spare.

I'm going to mount an aux control block the same way i did on my sidexside , I used cloud rider winterfront hold down clips to attach to grill since that's where the action will take place

I'm about to do the same thing this weekend and I'm thinking that it might be easier to mount the the controls remotely.

I'll be looking for ideas as well. I know the Warn control boxes are visible in the front facing camera with multiple front bumper setups out there.
