First chip the other day. Not terrible but if/when I replace Id prefer it to not happen every 2000 miles. Anybody use a window film? Ive heard RainX, ceramic coat, etc to reduce friction when a rock hits, but the window angle is just too much. Would love to know of any products whihc others have used.

Thank you. Did you notice any issues before using it?

Coatings will definitely not stop a rock, window film might but most cost more than a deductible to for a new windshield.

easiest way to block rocks? Don’t follow close and don’t follow big trucks

Do they have something for the windshield? I only saw hood covers. I've been happy with my kit from grab gard so far, it seems to work for where I'm driving.

The aeroskin isn’t a windshield cover or coating but it seems to prevent chips and cracks

Thanks, I looked it up and see it's more about trying to deflect rocks up and over. I can see how that might help.

I might have to give it a try. The combination with the grab gard might be nice, the more protection the better, IMO.

I got a film, Clear ______ (plex, maybe) from an after market dealer nearby. Three hits in a month... I can see the pockmarks... Windshield is ok.

Good to know yours seems to be working as well. I've had mine on for a few months now and am happy with it. I think we have the same film and I just have the DIY version.
