Finally found where it says that the Apple car play is wireless. This was in the description of the Wildtrak.

Thanks for confirming. I was in a friend's Subaru and they plugged in their phone via usb to do the auto sync thing.

Happy to know with Bronco, we can live in the 21st century and my note20 ultra 5g (ridiculous name, i know) can sit comfortably in the wireless charging cubby and do its thing without needing an umbilical cord to my Wildtrak
