I just learned that Bronco had "zone lighting". Anyone who has used this feautre on a Bronco, how does it work and what you would use it for, also where the lights are located on the vehicle.
Is it available on all trims?

Thanks.

There’s lots of video’s on YouTube that show them on other Ford products. Essentially you can turn on one side of the vehicle to light up an area (like a camp site) but not the other. I’ve never used it before, but it seems like a pretty cool feature. I’m sure you can set it up for when you approach the vehicle at night, but not 100% sure on that.

Would be a logical update addition to the tech options...But please- if it adds any delays, I'd prefer to do it myself!

From what I gather it comes with the High package as you get the mirror mounted approach lamps/spotlights.
On the F150s, side zone lighting uses the mirror mounted lights, front uses headlights, and rear uses the standard backup spotlight

Also, the mirror mounted lights include both spot lights and puddle lights on each mirror 👍🏻

Question on Zone Lighting - I know I can activate it on the Ford Pass app, but in the vehicle, when I push the right/left buttons by the light controls, nothing happens. Is it because I have it in "automatic headlights" setting? And I'm trying this while the vehicle is on, and in "Park."

I find it odd that it matters - Am I doing something wrong here?

I believe it's part of the Infotainment Settings in Sync 4...

it might not work with the engine running (so you don't drive around with the mirror lights on), try with the engine off and just the power on (ACC or what it's called).

I guess it's a handy feature out camping or something like that, arrive late and set up camp in the dark?

It would be nice to turn the mirror lights on while off road, don't think it's an option, though I haven't tried it in any of the goat modes.

I was playing around with that, and yes, there is an option to turn on the zone lighting in there as well. Sorry, I shouldn't have used the term zone lighting maybe. It's more-so just the mirror lights, which also have buttons by the headlight controls. That's what I'm specifically inquiring on.

Edit: So I just played around with it more in my garage. It appears to work now. It can be with the ACC only on, or the vehicle fully on. I still had my headlights on "automatic" but they were on when I was in the garage, so maybe that's what my issue is. Before I don't think my headlights were on when I pushed the buttons (it was too bright outside).

I don't know. Who cares I guess - It seems to work now. Thanks folks.

Is there a way to have the zone lighting only turn on for the doors at night when it becomes dark?

Did they do away with this in 2024? I don't see it on my build.
