Hopefully some reviews will be out before I need to do my first new set, these look like a contender.

Interesting. By Toyo's own ratings, the R/T Trail and A/T III are better than the new R/T Pro.

The Toyo RT has been around forever and was one of the early "rugged terrain" sort of super aggressive AT/MT hybrid tires out there. Goodyear Duratracs were one of the only other tires on the market at all similar back in the day. Now tons of ATs have gotten more aggressive and nearly every manufacturer is pushing a RT.

I always found the Toyo RT to be a bit too biased to a full MT (even though it was supposedly remarkably quiet given the voids in the tread) to want to run it, especially since one of my use cases is snow driving while skiing.

I'd seriously consider this new tire once it's time to replace my KO2s though as I hope to have another vehicle to use for ski road trips at that point (once my EV6 is off lease and needs to be replaced). Part of me wants to run muds on my Raptor, but most of them are E load rated and weigh in excess of 80 pounds (compared to about 66 for the stock KO2 I believe). Even though E rated Toyo is only quoting 76 pounds which isn't too bad for a 37x12.5R17.

Just bought a set in 35x11.5 (inflate to 34.8) which they don’t offer the Trails in. Got a great deal on them. I’ll report back when they get installed - which won’t be until another 10k or so (probably after winter if my current AT3 hold up that long).

I went to the 4wheel Jamboree last weekend in PA and they had a bunch of sets there at the event and they looked awesome in person, very aggressive all terrain.

For an RT they look amazing, I wonder how they will be against the Falken RT01s. My only issue is that most sizes I want are E rated, as a matter of fact I don't even think they have a D rated tire. Hopefully the new E rated tires are the old D rated tires. I want the 37X13.50r17 size when they become available.

Only negative I can think of is they are a heavy tire. I believe the falcons are too though.. Those falcons are what I wanted till I seen these. I gotta be smart this time around. Soon as my 37” kendas wear out more I’ll go with the Toyo Rt pro’s. I’m sticking with 12.5 wide to save on weight.

Well they are both E rated if ure looking for 37s, I have heard great things about Falken but D rated and they have a nice one in the 38x13.8r17 size that's D rated. Lookwise I love these RT Pros I just hope they are not too stiff in the size I want but I'm afraid they will be.

I wonder if these modern E rated tires have the same softness as the old D rated tires. I am assuming so because these should be designed for Broncos, Jeeps, and 4 Runners too not just trucks.

Honestly, I think the technology is just getting better. It’s all about sidewall strength.

Anyone know when Toyo will release their next generation Mud Terrains or if there is any talk about this. From what I have researched the last time a Toyo MT was introduced was way back in 2006 even Nitto Trail Grapplers haven't been touched since 2009 either. I think the Yokohama Geolandar G003s are amazing tires for the weight and are leaving Nittos in the dust. Toyo and Nitto need a major upgrade to their MTs.
