I really like that... how much further down does it protrude more than the OEM hooks?

I know I've hit those MANY times coming down off rocks so I'm wondering how these aluminum ones will hold up to back-end weight of the truck scraping down rocks???

170 a pop is doable but not if they're going to grind down / collapse under that scenario?

Also, the front shackles on the site are "4140 forged heat treated steel"... I guess those need to be stronger? Why Aluminum for the rear ones? just wondering.

LMK - cheers

Hey RynoRanger, After multiple test with 6065 and 7075 we took the weight of the Bronco (3400-5000lbs) into consideration, we decided to go with 7075 due to the higher load capacity and the fact that it is substantially harder than 6061, we tried making the best possible design/angle so that it slides down most rocks if necessary, if you notice the OEM loops, they hang downward and seem to snag much easier onto sharper edged rocks is what we noticed, we also wanted to eliminate the users soft shackle from being jammed between the hoop and the terrain, and possibly being cut by the terrain, friction and whatever it could snag onto. (Pics Attached)

After multiple tests with 7075, we found that the failure points where the 10.9 grade OEM steel bolts and not the part itself. I would say It is definitely possible to wear down faster than steel, to say otherwise would be foolish on our part, but I do think this will depend on the end user and how often they play on the rocks.

This design was more focused on the use of soft shackles, rather than serious rock hang ups. That being said, we do have a solution for the serious Off Road adventure who knows he's going to hit the serious rocks.

I hope this helps.

That response was helpful TYVM. I’m not a SERIOUS rock crawler but nearly every trail I’ve been on in Phoenix/AZ area I’ve probably grinded those on something at one point in a ride. I’m still on stock ride-height badlands so that’s why but I still think I’d be good with these for quite a while. I do love the context of the soft shackle and how it’s protected vs the OEM ring, that’s a good selling point you guys should make sure is well known in marketing material.

I’m in no rush so I’m going to wait and see what the this new c… rock ring is all about. Unless you want to throw me an NDA and some product intel in a DM ;)

So is "cyber orange" actually color matched or is it some other shade of orange? if anyone has any CO mounted on a matching bronco please show me. Impossible to get a feel not looking at them side by side.
