  1. Can I get owner insight/advice?

Make sure to get the rear locker, as it will have more gearing which helps MPGs as it keeps the motor out of boost.
  2. Power Running Boards suggestion

I stuck rock slides on the wife's 2 door jl and everyone has hated them. Rock slide has zero customer service when you tell them the vertical drop bars are in the way of the step. They are flimsy compared to early version and not the same quality. Hard pass... If I had to do it over I would do...
  3. 2028 Jeep Wrangler Scrambler

Pretty sure this is going to be based of the grand Cherokee/Durango platform in order to make the target production date. The platform already has ifs, v8 and srt trim without any engineering. Love my JL, but it rattles and squeaks worse than a $9,999 Hyundai.
  4. SimpleTire x Bronco6G Giveaway — Win a Free Set of Tires

This guy needs a dozen tires and will put your logo on his bronco. Let me know if you need his cell number.
  5. SLATE Truck Debuts as Modular SUV & Pickup

Asking people to pay a non refundable deposit without a final price is pretty #&$@. Been watching closely as I had high hopes that final price would be sub $30k OTD. Plenty of people will buy them up front just to give Tesla a middle finger.
  6. Snacktime's Broken Bronco Build

Annual Memorial day trip report, didn't make the final destination due to multiple down trees. Ended up dispersion camping half way. Nice 80F high during the first day, lots of mosquitoes and cold 40F low. Next day was a wonderful 70F but got windy towards the evening. By 6pm I was adding tie...
  7. More cheap lights... 3" Nilights finally died

Oracle Lights is going to sue you for patent infringement. The sharks with laser beams patent did expire recently so just label it for "sharks only" next to the California Cancer label.
  8. As a Bronco Owner, What’s Your Breaking Point?

When my wife says it's to ugly to have in the front yard.
  9. Ride Shocks

Two of the 301 chase broncos ran balls out, way overloaded on Ride Shocks. I am pretty sold on Accutune ability to diagnose the customers needs.
  10. Spare CV Axle Questions

    I agree Better film it!
  11. More cheap lights... 3" Nilights finally died

I know a few of us on here like cheap lights, so after 3 years my Nilights finally fell apart. Basically held in place by the zip ties holding the wire mess for the last few months. So after realizing I can't just put new hardware in and moisture filled I bought some new lights. Over very happy...
  12. Spare CV Axle Questions

Haven't seen anyone post about a broken intermediate shaft for a while.
  13. New Filson Edition Bronco Coming Early 2027

Not sure what the $150 flannel shirt demographic is and I live in California...
  14. Finally nailed my RSEs

How much did that set you back? Bought a set for Rock Slides for the wife's jeep, deeply regret not getting rough country or amp steps. The drop down bars on the Rock slide are always in the way and they are now so flimsy compared to the originals.
  15. 2.7 not as responsive as a 2.3

Its kind of both? The 3.73 gears allow the turbo to spool longer, as you hit 2nd gear there is less boost drop. The other advantage is Turbo work off load, more load they better they build pressure. The 3.73 give more load in lower gears allowing it to work better. Turbo lag is the gap between...
  16. 2.7 not as responsive as a 2.3

The 3.73 gears make more boost in the first 2 gears and it stays in boost longer. In town driving pulling away from a light it's extremely noticeable compared to SAS vehicles.
  17. Quiet Axleback suggestions

I have Gibson exhaust and its pretty tame, muffler is next to the driveshaft. Very slight drone at 1.4K rpms with the 2.3. I would look for something with 2 mufflers if you really want to avoid drone. Two separate mufflers stand the best chance of moving resonance frequency lower than drive rpms
  18. Coilovers - changing springs to effect ride height.

No rear and Is still run the front on/offroad.
  19. Coilovers - changing springs to effect ride height.

Got to do a little more testing yesterday and going to stick it out with the 600lb fronts and 200lb rears. For me the swap to 200lbs rear springs got me a solid 2 1/2" of drop after a week of settling. After cranking them back up to a total of 1 1/2" drop the ride got substantially better. Its...
