We wrapped up our 2nd annual Thanksgiving Ride this Saturday with an awesome turnout from our local Bronco group.
We ran Brushy Fork Rd and Clifton Rd, with a few of us tackling Pumpkin Hollow afterward. I finished the day out by running Old Fincastle. All of these are part of the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway. Everyone calls it the DBBB.
Brushy Fork was pretty mild, but Clifton Rd had one nasty, slick, rutted section that gave everyone a fight. Right near the top you’d get hung up and lose all momentum. After several failed runs, I backed way up, hit it with plenty of throttle, and finally got the front wheels over the lip. The only rig that walked it clean was a 2 door thanks to its short wheelbase. In the end, we all worked together and pulled each other up total team effort.
Hope you all enjoy the video!
