2024 Bronco Safari @Moab permit denied; 30 days to appeal!

I am really wanting to run some trails in MOAB, but I would like to go in a small group. I have reserved a room in Grand Junction Co, if we don't run MOAB we may just hit some trails in the surrounding area that are relatively safe for a single rig to run.

Tell me what the average bronco attendance was prior to 2023? How many years have you attended?

It definitely blew up last year. I go each year and I found myself less interested in SCE organized rides/events. Still walked the grounds and met up with friends, but found myself doing my own thing separate from the pack. Have made my reservations for this year's SCE, and I'll likely do the same.

Feel free to join if any of those previously mentioned trails interest you. Again, would like to keep us <15 to keep it manageable on the trails I'll be leading.
Onion Creek would be the exception to me leading a large group

I'm not hating anything bronco related, just stating a fact. SCE is not what it was, ask anyone who's attended for years. Just because someone has a different opinion than yours, does make them a hater. I don't think you get it if that's what you think. And you're proving my point....

Well this news is unfortunate. I'm booked & plan on running Monday April 29th thru Friday May 3rd if it's a go or not.

Last year was a good time to meet folks from B6G. I only wheeled 1 day with the Safari & the other's were with folks from B6G.

My trail list are the following & could lead a few through :

Onion Creek 2

Elephant Hill 5

Dome Plateau 5

Gold Bar Rim 6 ----> Must have lockers F & R !!!

Flat Iron Mesa 6 ---> Must Have Lockers !!!

Either way we'll be there

I am going to change our hotel dates, could you PM your contact info or the meet up time and where?

Dome Plateau 5 ---> 33's Minimum

Gold Bar Rim 6 ----> Must have lockers F & R !!!

Flat Iron Mesa 6 ---> Must Have Lockers F & R !!!

Interesting you mentioned Dome Plateau. Back in 2021 that’s the trail that we ran when I attended Off-roadeo.

Yep, it's the trail the Off-Rodeo uses, but it's nice. It's been about 15 years since I ran it, so I figured why not

Onion Creek is beautiful and easy but you can step up the difficulty by continuing on the Kokopelli Trail which traverses some awesome backcountry. Plus it can dump you out in the back end of the Sand Flats Recreation Area to continue your off-road adventuring.
