Everyone playing around: "Gas, Hybrid, Electric"

Diesel: sitting quietly (loudly) in the back running the whole entire world.
Diesel needs a comeback. To partially quote a member from BN, "They revisit EVs every 30-40 years and then drop it".
Difference between Diesel and EV is you can drop a Diesel into anything it fits in (Diesel 4 for small cars, I6's and V8's), and as long as the transmission could handle the power, don't need to do much else, while reaping the benefits of range, longevity and torque. IF you live somewhere without emissions testing and keep your mouth shut, you can delete the modern crap and improve everything across the board. Meanwhile you can buy a diesel truck from way back when and aside from replacing some minor stuff and whatnot, still will run like a champ

Ev's won't last longer than a decade, cost too much to replace the battery and you suffer from range anxiety the whole time. If you live in a big city and hardly go more than an hour away, its fine, but for people like me, constantly moving, can't wait a half hour with my job for a recharge, and need something durable and dependable, especially when we're talking sole vehicle and half the month I'm in the city. You ever see an old EV at all, like that 90s Chevy or whatever else they made.

Imagine if they never had dieselgate, we'd have troller I5 Duratec's in our Bronco's as an option

They didn't want to confuse anyone by putting a camaro on there.
So I wanted to roll my eyes at your take on this, but figured I'd better get a look at one myself first . . .

Bryan Cranston: "It's not how big it is, it's how you use it."

Just be careful with that Bronco filler neck when you do it.

With emissions control nonsense on them there is no chance of diesels making a comeback.
Here is how idiotic the government is.
A gallon of Diesel gives off just under 2% more CO2 when burned than a gallon of gasoline.
Diesel fuel produces 11% more BTU's per gallon which results in 10% better fuel economy based on BTU output ( my experience shows more like 15% decrease in fuel consumption).
Diesel fuel takes less energy to produce.

Ha, not with 27 emissions looming. The Class 7 & 8 guys are facing $40-90K per unit increases in the name of ignorance, err, "green energy". But eh, International has an Electric Class 7 that can do (under PERFECT conditions) 120 miles after 8 hours of charging which should make hauling vegetables from CA to say, MN interesting.

Seems like Ford has been pretty reserved in their marketing effort with the Bronco. I’m guessing they’ve been cautious to influence demand any further, considering the inherent supply challenges of a completely new vehicle. But of course the Broncescape Sport ads are everywhere! 😂
I see those ugly Sports everywhere! Seems like they sell a lot of them.
