I'm not sure if someone would install it for you, but aftermarket options are probably going to be available. 20 years ago, my friend had a 99 Prelude with auto start installed. Downside would be FordPass wouldn't be used in your situation. You'd probably have to sign a waiver too, just in case you left it in gear and started it.

This is where I’m going to be parking mine. You think I should get it? Or not?

In a nutshell—you can’t turn the AC/heat on or off *from* the app. You also cannot adjust temperature *from* the app. It all has to be preset/pre-decided the last time you use the vehicle. In other words—if you want the heater on when you remote start—you have to have left the heater on when you last used to vehicle..
You must have manual climate control. I leave mine on auto and set at the temp I find comfortable and it maintains that setting without my adjusting anything.

And here I am hating drive-thrus because they burn unnecessary gas and some of y'all are remote starting your cars from the Bahamas just to have the snow cleared when you get back...
I remote started my V10 Excursion with 45min run time after reading this.

I'm curious to try Fords app based system, I have an aftermarket 2-way remote start in all my vehicles even if it came with a factory one. I refuse to freeze my ass off. Whichever vehicle I drive between October and May will see a min 30-60mins idling on a regular work day.

Remote start is not available with a manual transmission.

How sure are you about this?

I placed my order for a BD Manual last week and the sales manager ensured me FordPass Remote Start will work on the manual Broncos just as is does in the Mustangs.

Please tell me I didn't get lied to by the sales MANAGER.

I'm going by the PDFs plus my understanding of clutch safety switches. If I'm wrong them I'm wrong but if you want to go by technical info from your sales person then that is fine.

Use whatever info you need/like. It's your truck.

It's hard to believe....but he lied to you. Remote start will not work on the manual.

I'm not a Mustang expert but I'm fairly certain it doesn't work on the Mustang either.

One question I have, does it allow you to raise or lower your windows?

I currently can do that with my FOB on my Fusion.

I wouldn't put it past them to lie about it... I've had nothing but a bad experience with this dealership.

Does anyone know if you can transfer your reservation between dealerships?

Just called FordPass helpline and you guys are 100% correct, manuals cannot remote start via FordPass Connect.

Time to get angry with a sales manager and his team.

Hope the OP doesn't mind if I jump on here with another question.... I see the base model does not have an "option" for remote start where as the big bend does yet the base has FordPass... Is the remote start option on the big bend just for the key fob? Or does Ford take it to the point where the base won't be able to remote start with FordPass?

I don't think you dealer lied to you. Either they did not know or forgot you purchased a manual.

BTW .. No manufactures offers remote start with a manual. It is a liability issue. If you are around cars then you would know this.

You can install an aftermarket device that will allow for remote start BUT NOT from Ford Pass and NOT from the oem key fob.

Aftermarket remote start will come with their own fob.

Just called FordPass helpline and you guys are 100% correct, manuals cannot remote start via FordPass Connect.

Time to get angry with a sales manager and his team.
