This will not be well accepted - rock chips are due to tailgating. My son drives a sedan with a very laid-back windshield and he gets tons of rock chips because he tailgates. I’ve never had a rock chip in 40 years of driving and that has nothing to do with my windshield.Mine had the hood protector when I bought it. While I don’t love the looks, I also don’t have any windshield chips in 18,000 miles.
