Had my new 2024 Everglades scratched by the dealer while they were installing the tow kit on it. They ended up repainting the panel that was scratched but it seems like the color doesn't match. Am I being too picky or should I take it back to the dealer for them to correct it.

Yeah, that doesn't match up. Not even close. It looks like one panel is Azure Grey and the other is Cactus Grey...

Well thank goodness I don't paint cars for a living because I don't see how it's off, although the sun glare in that second photo is making it hard to see.

Is this Azure Gray? Wonder if the body shop forget to do the full tri-coat.

Azure grey is a 3-stage paint, or tri-coat (metallic base, color tint, clear)
Very difficult to get small, newly painted areas to match the rest of the original. Good paint shops usually refuse to paint only small parts when 3-stage is used (Like a fuel door)

If you squint when looking at it you can see it better.

It's off, but not too much. I'd bring it up and see what they say. If they give a lot of push back, I might just let it go.

They would need to paint more panels to make it blend huh?

As mentioned already is a 3 stage paint which is hard to duplicate if painted separate. Its also a plastic panel vs metal fender and that makes a difference too. Id definitely have them give it a second look. Dont be rude when you go back. Remember you catch more flies with honey. If youre respectful and polite youre more likely to get them to redo it vs telling you to kick rocks.

Apparently the bumper got away from them while trying to line it up again. Not only that, they also left a socket inside the cargo area panel that I could hear rolling around as I was driving. They had to open it up again to remove it. Tech must have been in a rush to go home 😞.

In the photo, the paint does not appear to be the same color as the tailgate or quarter panel. I would ask them to try it again.

I have the same color truck and had concerns when my tow hitch was being installed. Took three trips to get mine to work properly as they forgot to reattach the antenna for the rear tailgate. Couldn’t unlock the tailgate till the antenna was reattached. My main concern was that they were going to scratch the truck while removing or installing the bumper. I feel bad for you.

Hope they treat you right and get the paint to match.

I have AGM as well and I'd say it's definitely off. It could be the sun or angle but I've never noticed them being mismatched on mine based on that. This is what scared me a bit going AGM, that any future paint work would be a bear!

Yes, they blend over a much larger area, usually, from what I remember
