2024 OBX non SAS. 3.73 ratio.

Swapped tires to 285/70R17 Falken Rubitrek on OEM 17” steel.
629 rev 18 OEM off and 632 rev 17’s on.
As close as I could get to 629 trying to keep speedo within 1 mph.

550 miles ..15.8mpg max via
highway with cruise set.
15.4 around town.
Tires dropping mpg down?

Was hoping for 17mpg minimum if
not 19-20. Specific break in period?

What was the MPG with the old tires? Are you reading the MPG from the dash, or doing the calc yourself? Lots of threads here on the subject for reference. …and it’s shaped like a brick, so it’s best to keep your expectations very low. 😄

Never tracked MPG with OEM 18”.
Swapped tires within first 100m.
It is a brick but have seen claims of 19-20mpg with SAS pkg. Figuring factory SAS tires are more highway tread than Rubitreks.

Economy not priority was just hoping for more than 15.5

I use the Fuelio app, and faithfully (heck, I'm OCD!) enter in all my data with every fill-up. Purchased May 22, about 34K miles, average mileage is 15.3. Daily drive, mixed highway city, and a fair bit off backroad and trails. My 2.7 Badlands 4DR auto is loaded down with a fair bit of accessories (lights, winch, TRMX roofrack, onboard compressor, steel storage drawer, etc.)

Check out the Fuelio ap, folks. Very accurate, computes lots of data breakdown. When you realize that at current prices, you're paying about 18.5 cents per mile, it makes you think: "Do I really need to run to Lowe's for this left-handed metric butterfly nut, or can it wait till I'm driving near there on another trip?

How many miles do you have on your Bronco?

My first few tanks were really bad MPG. Also I live in a hilly area with a lot of traffic lights that are on demand with no right turn on red due to hills & curves in the roads; driving around close to home my mileage goes down 1 - 2 mpg depending on the lights and traffic.

Compared to driving a different direction going away from my home where there are less red lights, because the timing of the green lights is better along with level topography; both examples of city driving but closer to home and to my girl's house, I lose 1-2 MPG.

Topography on the hwy will change your MPG too, in a manual 6th gear only helps MPG if driving on a level hwy, any uphill at all and it's down to 5th gear.

550miles. 2nd tank of gas….topped off a few times. Random topography. 50% light to light. 25% interstate using cruise as much as possible. Balance rolling Hills.

The 50% light-to-light really hurts and the 25% freeway also

People reporting low to mid 20's mpg are usually driving medium speed roads say about 40 to 60 mph with almost no stops and very light on the gas - for examples see posts here - 22.5 mpg - 25.3

Tires are at 37pds. Raise pressure beyond rating on door…..less rolling resistance…raise mpg?

Break In Period is 1,000 miles. Also, fuel octane, oxygenation & amount of ethanol will all contribute to MPG variability.

I have never seen more than 17 MPG in my Badlands SAS nor wife’s Heritage LE (essentially same tires & gearing) and haven’t seen anything greater than 13 MPG in the Braptor. 🥲

These are the numbers published by Ford. The indicator on my non-Squatch manual Badlands is showing 18.6 mpg after ~4800 miles. It stayed over 19.5 until winter hit last year. I’m not sure what I’m doing right but it’s certainly better than my Jeep!!!

I've got almost 20,000 miles on my '21 non-sas OBX 2 dr. 2.7. I have the 4.27 gears, and original tires/wheels.
I average 15/16 MPG. If it's all highway, I'll get 20. Pretty normal.
