I wouldn't call it a toy, it's probably the most useful, safest thing you can add to a winch.

I have their Ultrahook on my Bison and it has served me well. They make great soft shackles too. I thought that when they got bought out that things would go down hill, but that hasn't seemed to happen.

What's great about Factor55 is that they are very transparent in all of their testing. They built their brand on it and I don't see that going away any time soon.

I've just started buying synthetic line for all my winches with a loop at the end for a soft shackle. Weight and wallet savings.

On my TJ I had some UV50 cloth wrapped around the hook, too. The advantages to synthetic were just too numerous to keep the steel line.
