Went out wheeling around with my buddy and his LJ (4.5 inch lift and 35 inch mile star patagonias, 5 speed MT). We were out in his stomping grounds near Crystal Mountain, WA. The trails were straight up packed ice. Apparently there was a warm spell recently that melted everything to slush and when it re-froze it was solid ice. I aired down to about 18 psi and the Bronco was absolutely planted. My friend wheels that area all the time and he was super impressed at the performance of the Bronco and the tires. He ended up using some chains on sketchy part of the road and I didn’t need to chain up at all. I think everyone should give the Goodyears a chance before ripping them off right away. I also think everyone’s first purchase (if they are going to off road at all) should be tire deflators and a compressor, just my two cents. Happy trails!
