A newly filed Ford patent gives us a look at how the 2021 Ford Bronco’s doors may be removable without the use of any tools.
The patent reveals doors that can be removed simply by disengaging a set of latches and has a mechanism in place to block a door of a vehicle from being removed when the vehicle is not in an upright position — a necessary safety feature particularly for an off-road vehicle.
This provides a welcome alternative to Jeep which requires the use of tools to remove screws and bolts in order to remove the doors on the Wrangler and Gladiator.
