Up until now, I'd only call what we've added "accessories" rather than modifications. But now....we've got us a bit of a build.

I just picked up our Bronco from the local dealer, Columbine Ford. They did a marvelous job adding the following:
  • Zone Upper Control Arms
  • Ford Performance 2" Lift Coilovers
  • Ford Bronco Severe Duty Steering Upgrade
  • Ford Performance 2.3 power upgrade
  • 35 x 11.50 Falken Wildpeak RT/01
I'm so pumped up about this!

The rack was $1300. When I ordered it direct from Ford and shipped to my dealer, it gave me the option to pay $750 for install. I felt kinda bad about that because the guys at my dealer's service department are really cool, and they said when you do that option, Ford expects them to cover any difference in the labor. But it was there in less than a week, and once they had everything, it was done basically in a day. I'd add that you have to also order the Pro Cal programming tool. I thought dealers just had those for normal work, but apparently they don't. That cost me another $850 because I opted for the one preloaded with the performance upgrade.

And I just realized you asked how much everything cost. I'd have to dig out receipts, but the springs ended up costing me $1700 after the coupon I used and some points I had saved. The UCAs were about $300. The tires plus install of everything and an alignment was about $4000.

Sooo...grand total...maybe like $8000?

So how do you like the Tune? Does it seem to shift better and have a noticeable increase in power?

The shifts definitely feel smoother. I can't really tell with the power. That may be either because of the bigger tires or because I hadn't really driven it in a few weeks, so I lost the feel a little. Not sure.

It actually feels like it might be smoother on the pavement than stock. I haven't yet gotten it on anything serious in terms of a trail yet, but that's coming in the next day or two. I'll hold judgment until then.

Before and after pics of my black diamond. Added an Accutune Stage 3 lift, with adjustable Fox 2.5 shocks. Came with Icon upper control arms, Rear upper and lower links, and a rear sway bar. Added Mickey Thompson 35's on Ion Alloy 17" wheels after the 3.5" lift. Love the ability to adjust compression on the shocks for different terrains and speeds.

Well I now have another tire to look into for my BD. The steering rack upgrade is definitely on my list to knock out in the next year or so as well.

I was looking for the Wildpeak AT4, but that wasn't available in the size I needed. I'd been considering the RT01 anyway. It's more expensive, but it seems like it's a little more versatile - being a hybrid between an AT and a mud tire. So far, I like them.
