My Bronco is slated to be built this month Living in Florida I could see removing my side and rear windows and rolling with just the top canopy most of the year.

I wonder if you made the top runner (I) as long as the bottom runner (II) if it would work to keep it from being opened with the tailgate closed.

The solution works, I will consider implementing it in a future version

I really like this and I included it on the original Mabett spreadsheet but there is a significant modification that is required to ensure this works properly - side mounted attachment points.

I would suggest reinforced straps or D-rings that are able to attach to the bolts on the side of the tub/bed.

The main attachment for the roller mechanism looks to be spring loaded. "Locking" at the back would not keep someone from releasing from the front if they wanted to be nosy.

It's vinyl or fabric, right? It keeps honest people honest, and that's good, but it's like a tonneau on a pickup, I'd rather have them flip it open than cut it to see what's under it.
