How was the condition of Backway to Crown King? Been thinking about running it sometime soon and it seems like it is always changing.

I got my 2020 4Runner TRD Pro (on 32s) through it back in November 2021 but pretty much bypassed all the obstacles I could. Were still a couple pretty dicey areas though.

It's a great trail, but there's a wanker up the road with some kind of mining claim that seems to think the road belongs to him and him alone, and likes parking his equipment on the road itself.

I think the gold mine guy does own the road. We were actually working with Kenda Tires, Tread Lightly, The Gold Mine guy, Warn Winch, Baja Design Lights, and ORR to remove the 4 abandoned vehicles down there sometime this fall.

I don't think the project is ready to go fully public just yet, but we will need a few volunteers that know what they are doing.

On another note, last time I was down there, maybe 6 months ago, we watched two hawks pass a 4' live snake around 300' in the air for about 15 minutes. They were having a blast.
