I had a great time at Windrock this past weekend. What a place.
My buddy Rob and I got there around 3pm on Friday and left Sunday morning. We finished trails 83, 19, 20, 4, 33, 11, lots of connector roads like P1/G1 from one side of the park to the store. 33 (Bead Buster) was a surprise. I was trying to get to the northern entrance to hit 11, but I think I came up a little short on the entry. OnX showed that I could take 33 up and then find my way to the 11 entrance, so I did. There were some serious off camber ruts on 33 and some rock climbing. It was a short trail, but it was a fun challenge. Highly recommend!
11 was a blast, obviously. 20 was so wet and slippery. We got up to the top...almost...there was a single straight shot climb that they recently pushed through, which we traversed and got up there...but there's one final climb that was rutted out and at the top had a 1-2 foot ledge that was dug under. We passed it and came back down.
95% of our driving was on Saturday...Friday had some absurd storms come through right when we had arrived so we drove a little but ultimately headed down to the Garage Bar and got dinner and beers.
Never pulled line.
Can't wait to get back! Wish I had more pictures. Next time!
