Hi there. Anybody else out there order their Bronco in October 21? I got an email in February about commodity constraints and made some changes to speed it up. Still nothing! I regret taking a couple of things off. Any similar experiences or has anyone gotten their vin already (…. Not to mention, their Bronco)

I ordered in Oct '21. Badlands, 4 dr, sas, 7MT, soft top. Originally had the bull bar and tow package. Removed both and the very next week I had a build date. Hard to say if it was luck or correlated to the constraints. Just had mine delivered on Monday.

@hollyw00d That is good. At least it sounds like yours is moving along. Mine is an OBX. Mine is an MIC, 2.7, high. Removed the Lux, tow, Adv4wd and modular bumper, an crickets. 🤷‍♂️

Congratulations. What dealer?

Actually bought it down in PA due to where I was living when I made my original reservation in 2020.

Ahhh so Park City is probably your dealer for service. I tried McMahon in Norwalk to purchase but they have an ADM. When I told them I was going with someone else, they said they’d work with me, but I didn’t trust that - plus the huge markup they have in Broncos in their lot ($25k). I’ll need to choose a local dealer for service / maintenance.

Yeah, I went for a test drive at Park City and liked the crew there. Wasn't sure what their policy was about mark ups on orders though so just stuck with my original dealer.

I’m a Day 3 reservation holder and converted my order on Day 1 of order banks opening (and again on Day 1 of MY22 order banks) and I have no end in sight.

I have a 2dr Badlands with Squatch and the 2.7L and the tow package and I’m sure a few other order banks sins mixed in.

When I get a build date, I’m throwing an absolute banger. It’s been a long wait and there’s no end in sight

Would be interested to know how vehicles are picked for builds. Seems more like a lottery, just can't wait to get my golden ticket. A friend of mine has had his a few weeks and put the order in after me (albeit a different dealer). Saw another guy yesterday in his OBX and said he waited 8 months (which I guess isn't that bad). Good for those who are able to get them quickly, but hard to watch the blogs and forums and not hear anything. Maybe it has to do with allocation. My dealer has been great (Girard Ford), but maybe they just are getting them as quickly as others.

@LJF413 the way I understand it is there are several steps for getting yours built:

1. You get your place in line based on reservation/order time stamp
2. Ford gets their inventory of parts coming in which lets them determine that they’re building BB’s one week, BL’s the next, and so on
3. Ford goes starts at the top of the list and works their way down based on that available part inventory and schedule plan.

What I don’t understand is how dealership size plays into it. Dealership allocation is separate because that’s reserved for units to be sold on the lot (contrary to what is said all over this forum) but somehow larger volume dealers are getting more builds. What I am interpreting that to mean is that your order date places you in line with your dealership and then ford sorts those dealerships into their giant priority list (line #1 above) where dealership supersedes time stamp (dealership is influencer 1, time stamp is #2; I know reservation holders have a priority here but I don’t know how - I have a reservation and am still waiting)

As an engineer, it all makes total sense to me but what doesn’t make sense is why the order banks were left open for so long for newcomers to jump the line with their bare bones Big Bend builds. (No fault to the buyers, they’re playing by the rules)

Thanks for that insight. I supposed there are a lot less constraints on some BBs, making them much easier to produce. Maybe removing some constrained items give me a chance of seeing a ‘22. I had hoped to get mine before the Summer, but that seems to be a lost cause.

@LJF413 yeah, I was hoping for the same. Based on MY21's rules, I was expecting a build date in March/April then with a few delays, it would arrive in May/June. Things have changed quite a bit since then
