Bay Area Broncos

Here we go with the new G.O.A.T’s of the bay!!

What's everyone's experience with off-roading here? I'm completely new other than some dirt biking and side-by-side ATVing. A recent visit to Desert Valley piqued my interest and the new Bronco lit it on fire. I've been watching off-roading videos non-stop for the past 2 weeks on youtube.

Total newb other than dirtbiking. I'm hoping someone with experience will join this group and not mind us juniors tagging along.

I used to go Off reading @Hollister with my Jeep jk.. hopefully with the new Bronco I can take it to more advance off roading.

Complete and utter noob, outside of some off-roading in the military.
Was originally just looking for something I could take to the mountains in the winter, but once I have the Bronco I'd like to explore some light trails. Maybe get into overlanding down the road.

It's also going to be nice to be able to go to Tahoe/traverse snow with confidence and leave the yuppies in their Land Rovers in our dust. Haha

Yeah. Still looking for confirmation on which trims and tires will allow for chains. Doubt they'll be really necessary, but sometimes they're required regardless.

I had a '68 Bronco. I was living in NC at the time, and used to go to Tellico, WV, Eastern NC, and wheel'd the snot out of that thing. 36" tires, 4" susp/3" body lift. From an old F250 I put in a 302 V8, PS, D40 axle with disks, and a 4-speed manual with the compound low. Loved that truck. On some of those rocks up in PA, if I could get a piece of tire on the side of one, up she'd go.

I have been all over the Sierra in the Tahoe area and Arnold to Bear Valley. Headed up along 395 this weekend with the JL. Tons of trails just outside Bay Area. I have not done much here more local.

I love the outdoors and going into the brush. My first truck I think spent more time in the dirt than it did on pavement or the high school parking lot. Lol. Never anything really extreme or over the top dangerous, as the vast majority of my vehicles have been my daily.
