Bay Area Broncos

Here we go with the new G.O.A.T’s of the bay!!
Boston182
Alright everyone. I'm not here to overreact or insight panic or anything. I mostly just want to get some things clear and see where everyone's head is at.

Given what we've learned over the last few days, we've learned that a dealer is highly encouraged to make us happy and sell us our reservations, or else they incur heavy penalties. That said, it seems like most are going to want to play ball.

However, given what we've learned about the dealers entering our information, we are more likely to get our Broncos sooner if we all choose one dealer. And that one dealer to not be tiny.

(If you don't know what I'm talking about or aren't up to date on the current situation, feel free to ask questions and I will do my best to sum up the dumpster fire that is this situation.)

That said, I think the most fair thing to do here is to merely choose a medium/larger dealer that is the most centrally located, but also is higher in the national rankings (because they get priority, in a weird ass-backwards turn of events.)

So what I wanna know is: are you all willing to do this? And can we agree on a single dealer, knowing it might be more convenient for others and less convenient me/us/as an individual? Because I'm not trying to get my Bronco any later than possible. But you all might be more patient than me and want to spend your money with the smaller guys. But like I said, any dealer is going to HAVE to make you happy because they're going to take a shot to the nuts if they need to sell a cancelled reservation.

Sound off. Let's hear your thoughts.

At this point we should all have X Plan (if not you should look it up) but a Colorado dealership recently went $500.00 under invoice. I think we should aim for something like that. Your post makes sense to me.

@DC9atnight I'm pretty sure most of us (with common sense) have X plan by now, so we know what we'll be paying with h no surprises. Now it's a matter of rallying together at one dealer to get our Broncos faster so they can fill an order of Bronco's as a dealer.

I'm curious what that number even is. 5? 50? Who knows?

I'm still down with transferring my reservation to the dealership with the best deal we can get as a group. That being said, considering the allocation news from Ford, and Dealers that have confirmed they will honor X Plan and no ADM. I think we should consider the Ford Store in Morgan Hill. They are listed on the 6g X Plan spreadsheet as honoring X Plan, no ADM, and possibly offering additional discount(s)? Morgan Hill is a, if not the sales leader in the Bay Area. They should get a substantial allocation? Giving most Bay Area Broncos Members a good chance at not having to wait too long to get their Broncos? As I've mentioned previously, I have my reservation with Walnut Creek Ford. I will contact Walnut Creek Ford and the Ford Store in Morgan Hill to work on getting something in writing from both dealerships for the Group. Any other Bay Area Broncos Members, feel free to do the same. Or see what you can get from the dealership you have your reservation with.

The Ford Store in Morgan Hill is supposed to be a great dealer, highly rated. Honors X plan and no ADM, that’s all we need. I’m down for that.

Matt, you still want to wait for B&P, before we get busy?

@Chief1301 I mean, I think so. I think a group buy will get us discounts AND our Broncos faster, as it will fulfill an order faster. It also sounds like most of us have X plan set up. So even if we can't get something below X plan as a group, we all know we're going to be paying less than MSRP and slightly over invoice, which I think is still probably a solid deal.

On the other side, wouldn't hurt to start a spreadsheet with the basics. Name, location, Reservation number, selected model/trim, and leave a space for anticipated spend for accessories?

@Boston182 I agree. I'll revise the spreadsheet to add your recommended info columns and repost it. FYI, Sean at Serramonte Ford started a thread here on 6g. I sent him a PM asking if Serramonte Ford would consider a group discount below X Plan? I'll get back to everyone on his response.

@Boston182 and @Chief1301 I've started a new spreadsheet using Google sheets so everyone can load it up easy in browser. I transfered the handful of people from the previous spreadsheet. I'll link it for everyone after football. I have a tab for basic info as well as a second tab that I've entered nearly all northern California Ford dealerships. If we want to start calling around, we can use the dealer tab to track what sort of things each is willing to do. I have a third tab that would be private to enter additional, more personal info in case we find someone willing to play ball and they want better details in exchange.

Dude, that's awesome. Thank you. Let us know when it's ready and what we can do to help when it's time.

Here is what I have so far. I started Friday but I haven't had much computer time since then. Currently it should allow anyone to edit. Hopefully everyone accessing it is capable of using it properly. If someone messes it up, I have a backup and we'll go again with limited access. At the bottom you will find a tab for dealerships.

You're killing it. Thanks man. Added my info. Only small recommendation would be to add a column for physical location/city, as some of us didn't reserve close to home due to reveal night mishaps.

@Boston182 I figured current dealer reservation was good enough and the more relevant item but we can have both if needed.

I'd like to reach out to some of the Facebook groups as well. There is one with over 30,000 members already
Surely they have some northern California reservations in there, that's a lot of people. Probably not a good idea to share the link directly but perhaps we can get some people joined up and at least start asking around for anyone interested.

@Gene Dios I'm an admin in that group on FB .. LMK if you'd like any assistance

@calgecko That would be awesome! Perhaps you can toss up a post that says "Northern California buyers that are interested in joining a group-buy, comment below. The goal is to get a large enough group of buyers to switch over to a Northern California dealership that will offer us all a favorable deal in exchange for the entire group changing reservation locations."

I think I am going to add some info to the doc itself on this as well if we're going to be pulling people from around the net.

I've updated the doc to include an information panel to establish the goals we're trying to achieve. I've also switched it back to restricted edit access. I would like to spread this doc as widely as possible across any sites we can, including facebook. Restricted edits will allow me to keep everything clean and accurate. I can add a few other 'mods' if that helps. Otherwise directing anyone you can to our group or the California section should help funnel them to me.
