Hey everyone, BostonSasquatch pointed me over to this group. I live in the northern berkshires and know the surrounding areas quite well. He mentioned running the bell trail in the spring which my wife and I would definitely be interested. As of now there shouldn't be any snow down there, my brother lives right down the road from it.
There is also Old Florida Rd which practally in my back yard in Adams and ends up on Florida Mtn. This is more of a hard core trail that I haven't been on in a long time to comment on it's current condition, but I can get my buddy to take me up there with his SxS to scout it out. Honestly, it's probably easier on the rig with some snow on it. It's definitely a trail that you can break something on, but to the best of my memory there are ways around the rough stuff. There are a lot of areas to camp, either free of charge or a bunch state parks that don't charge much money. If camping isn't your thing (my wife lol), there are plenty of places to get a room from cheap to fancy.
Southern Vermont in the national state forest is where I typically take my 4runner and land cruiser to run my dogs for bird season.
There are a lot more areas to wheel around here as well. The berkshires and southern vt also have good restaurants and fun places to see if anyone wants to make a weekend out of it. If you like the outdoors this is the place to be.
