Anyone near Bellingham area with a manual? I just bought a manual 4 door badlands. I was able to drive it home from the dealership 155 miles away. But still having issues on uphills from a stop. I’m hoping to be good enough to be able to off road it by summer.

What are you having trouble with? I think the only thing you can do is practice more and you will get it.

@CptSamFalcon I'm having to gas it to high RPMs (3-4k) as I find the sweet spot when I clutch out. I'm afraid to damage something because its not smooth at all and lurches the vehicle. Im going to continue to practice but I'm afraid of burning the clutch before then. But you are right, I just need more practice on flat ground before going to hills. I just got stuck in a situation where I had no choice, and stalled on incoming traffic at a busy road.

I remember learning and I totally get the stress of stalling out. Honestly just practice some more and you'll get it!

Are you sure you're in first when you're starting and not a higher gear? You shouldn't have to rev that high to get going. If you do stall, the car will auto restart as soon as you push in the clutch after a stall.

No shame in stalling while you get used to clutch engagement point! Helps build muscle memory!

Turn your hill assist on! It will let your release the brake for a few seconds on the hill without rolling so you can focus on the gas and clutch…. Much nicer than when i learned to drive a stick… should be under driver assist settings
