Just switched my res from Jim Hudson Ford in Lexington SC to Stephens in WV. My local dealer never emailed/called/texted after selecting them back in August, and hasn't responded to my emails asking if they would be taking X Plan or to talk their expected pricing plans.

One-way flights from CAE to Charleston, WV are ~$120, with a 7 hr drive back through some beautiful TN and WNC mountain scenery, with an overnight stay in Asheville. I can't wait!

The local dealer (in Concord) I've dealt with for many years didn't leave me with a warm, and fuzzy feeling either. So, I reserved with Granger in Iowa. We really enjoy long road trips, and this will make a great one. As you say there is some beautiful country out there. That with picking up our new Bronco will make the trip double fun. :)
Joe Dirt
exactly how did you switch? I was under the impression it was during the time of placing a deposit that you were able to switch. I'm curious to do the same. Whats the verdict so far on stephens?
SuckItMcGee
SuckItMcGee
@Joe Dirt Called the Ford number 800-334-4375 (I found it in Granger's 'Changing Dealerships' thread as Ford's site was down when I went looking for it), she had me confirm my res #, name, address, email, etc, and then while on the phone she looked up Stephens, gave me some disclaimers about how you can only change dealers once, complimented me on my Wildtrack decision and read off some bullet points on the trim (lol), and then done.
My local dealer is to refund my deposit within 10 days (I think), and I immediately received an email confirmation from both Ford and John @ Stephens. I haven't spoken with anyone at Stephens yet, but I've seen all I need from John's posts on this forum.
Joe Dirt
@SuckItMcGee does that change your reservation status (put you lower on the reservation list)?
SuckItMcGee
SuckItMcGee
@Joe Dirt No, your res # does not change, neither does your res timestamp.

Also had mine at Jim Hudson Ford. Decided to switch to Granger because of the complete transparency similar to Stephens but they were the first LOL. Albert has been way too good to me helping me with courtesy shipment to Jim Hudson here in South Carolina. We are all about some road trips but not that long LOL. Just got back from Nashville two weekends ago and actually heading up to Asheville this weekend. Those are about as far as we will go by car.

Although not sure anything has been communicated in writing yet. I was going to reach out to them this week and discuss. If I don't get a good feeling then I will switch to either Granger or Stephens. I did get an email from their sales manager thanking me again for my reservation and said I would receive a "gift" . One of the other guys on here posted a coffee mug they sent so I assume will be similar.

@Ncbroncos I've bought from Hilbish for years, and they've always treated me fairly. I have a Ranger on order now. I talked with my sales guy about the Bronco, and didn't come away with a good feeling that I would get much of a deal on a new Bronco. But that's fine, I can and will buy one from Granger in Iowa. Reserved a Outer Banks yesterday, and if the good Lord's willing and the Creek don't rise we'll make a nice road trip out of the journey to pick it up.

Charlotte Area. Reserved a Black Diamond. Planning to get 2.7 + Mid. Hoping front lockers are a la cart. Reserved with Burns Ford of Lancaster and they said they’d match any offer. Hoping they match the Granger Deal.

I‘ve been every year for at least the last 7 years. There will be more than 500 1966-1977 Broncos there. Ford is bringing 6 2021 Broncos. The show really begins October 7. October 6 is essentially just a vendor set up day.
If you like the original Broncos, you should come. If you want to see the pre-pro 2021 models in person, that’s another great reason to come. Admission and parking are free.

Cool, I can't wait to make it out there. I am hoping to be there on the 7th before all the crowds show up so I can get some clean shots of them.
Hey Guys!! Actually Southern VA here, (with plans to move to beach house in Myrtle Beach area),
Have a WildTrak reserved, may change to Badlands and add a few things. Going to change dealer to University Ford in Durham NC or Beach Ford in Myrtle Beach SC.

Hey I'm in Durham and reserved at University Ford as well. I haven't had any conversations with them yet. I had an Explorer lease from Crossroads and didn't get the warm and fuzzies from them so looked elsewhere. Have you spoken with University? I'm tempted on the WV deal but also want to develop a relationship with a local dealer.
Ttp2017
What are some of y'alls favorite off roading spots in the tri-state area for when we finally get our Broncos?

The only one I am aware of is Gultches Off Road Park as well as a few dirt roads up near Asheville.

Columbia, SC Badlands reservation with Dick Smith Ford. Willing to switch if someone nearby does better than MSRP. Honestly, paying full MSRP makes me want to wait another year or two when all the hype has died down.
rcamwilkes

@Washbjj88 already spoke with them and many other dealers around the state of South Carolina. The best is George Coleman Ford since they are not doing any markups or dealer fees. Dick Smith Ford had their dealer fees placed at $499.

@rcamwilkes I'm new to the forum. My Res is thru Dick Smith as well and I missed the email stating Oct 31 was the cutoff date to change dealers. I have read on here you might be able to change the Dealer when you make your order. Do you or have you heard that? Also what about Herlong in Edgefield? The Spreadsheet says no fee.

Have you talked with D & D Ford in Greenville? If so, what did they tell you? Thanks..

@bronchalen84 $1300 under invoice if you have X-plan. $1000 under invoice if you don't. Search the forum. They have a thread detailing it all.

@LalasBronco I just moved my reservation to Stephens from Charlotte today when my dealer didn't respond to questions. Worth a nice drive to me to not have some nasty surprise come order time. No one likes extortion.
Ttp2017
Ttp2017
For me it is worth the 5 hour drive to have a dealership that is guaranteeing under invoice pricing and is actually knowledgable about the process and not making false claims like I have seen a lot of dealerships do.
Does anyone know if the destination fee to SC is negotiable. $1,495 seems high. Is Ford charging everyone $1,495 regardless of US location? Seems like it would be based on actual shipping cost from MI. We pay same shipment as buyer on West Coast for example?

Its bad when Ford is charging more than BMW! It was only $995 from Germany and came with a free driving school, factory tour, 3 meals, drinks and a hotel stay....GEEZ

@BroncoKong Jr. Nothing heard from them...my salesman for my last three new cars (Explorer, Mustang GT, F150) was Tommy Bradshaw and I expect they will be there when they have the details. They were fair on my last deals so we'll see if pricing is "Fairway".

I am using Tindol Roush in Charlotte They will honor x pricing or any other pricing that ford allows (have it in writing will share later if you wanna see). They have also confirmed that they will sell at MSRP no markups I have been pleased how forth coming they are when I was asking and I have my reps number if you guys want to reach out. Hey everyone, spoke with Granger Ford. They have a really good deal going, but they are really far away. The shipping estimate was 1200 to Charlotte. With their deal and the shipping, it’s almost a wash. But if we can’t find a dealer here in to match 1300 below invoice, it would still be cheapest to buy from Granger and ship the vehicle. Shipping it makes me nervous though. You don’t get a chance to look at it until it’s at your doorstep.

Look for the Maryland Volume Buyers Group thread. There are a few of us from NC in there. We are trying to get dealerships to work with us on a similar deal. There's a finance person from one in MD that's about 4 1/2 hours from Raleigh that's in the group and working on something. I'd do that drive to save money!

Look for a post this coming Tuesday from Stephens Auto Group, a Ford dealer in WV that another Member here in our group knows personally and is working with them on a similar deal to Granger. The bonus is it’s only 4 hours North of Charlotte!

Hello, everyone… Greenville SC (Simpsonville) here. I have a Big Bend reserved for now at Fairway Ford. I'm now shifting back and forth between the Base or Black Diamond. I have a 2012 Mustang GT that I love — and will probably have to sell when it comes time to settle up for a new Bronco.

I'll be watching this thread closely about dealerships. My wife and I had a great experience with Fairway Subaru back in June. She purchased a 2020 Forester Touring, we were surprised by the price in a good way. My interactions with the Ford side can be described as indifferent. I think they were more interested in getting me into another Mustang.

Hey Everyone! Eastern SC/NC here but I have a First Edition reserved with Bowen’s Garage in Connecticut. I’ve bought through Crossroads in the past and have never had good luck (besides my 2020 Explorer ST, but I also knew the Sales Manager from a previous purchase at another dealership). Tindol Ford in Gastonia is a Great Dealership, bought a 2015 S550 GT Mustang from Lyle Sturgis “The Crazy Mustang Man” a few years back.

So far Felix Sebates said no ADM and they will take X plan as long as Ford is offering it. So that's fine by me as long as I don't pay anything over MSRP. My BIG concern everyone trying to go to Granger is if it takes longer to get their Bronco due to the high number of reservations they have at such a small dealer. I would imagine Ford will be allocating these out to the stores somewhat evenly(and reservation order)

Tindol stated no mark up as well - a few weeks ago they only had 50 reservations (low compared to what most are saying), but I made a reservation late, so I am expecting to have to wait it out.
