Anyone here do any riding/camping on Vancouver Island?

Sorry in advance for the translation

I would like your opinion on the soft top.
Insulation level, sealing during snowstorms, etc.
If not, is there a big difference in soundproofing with the hardtop?
I live in northern Quebec and I wonder if the soft top has its limits in winter on insulation.

Welcome to the group Arianne . We have a 2 door hard top . The plus is it has glass , the rear glass lifts and helps keep the snow and rain out and you can stand under it. Its warm in the winter and has some insulation ability.
I would also suggest looking at photos of soft tops when they have the rear lifted to get into the back. I hope this helps
Cheers, Peter

She’s beautiful. Having some issues with the interest rate at my dealer. They’re saying that they’re no longer able to hold the interest rate from when I signed. Hopefully I can get it before the end of the week. It’s already been there two weeks on Wednesday It’s been sitting there and nine months since I ordered it. 🙄

dabase2dark
@BonitaAnjo i am pretty positive that once you sign, that’s it. contracts work both ways so they shouldn’t be able to modify rates post signing.

i assume all is well and you are enjoying it already ☺
BonitaAnjo
BonitaAnjo
@dabase2dark not always the case. I was fortunate enough that the dealer went to bat for me but really they can do whatever they want on a corporate level. I love her so much. Although I gotta tell you cleaning the snow off today and only being 5’5” was a challenge. 🤣

Nice! I’m picking mine up in two hours, GTA.

Hey everybody, I see lots of Bronco’s out and about in Sudbury, Ont.

Is anybody interested in having a trail ride or meet up? I’m new to the area and don’t know of many trails around.

For sale: rock rails from a 4-door Badlands (brand new) and OEM Badlands rims (will be 1 week old by the time I get them swapped out). Asking $350 for the rails and $600 for the rims.

Pickup in Surrey, BC or I'm willing to deliver within the Lower Mainland for a small fee. I'd prefer not to ship. Thanks!

This is what I have learned. “Quite simply by the time you add 2.7 the vehicle just gets too heavy. Other posters are correct, this is 100% a gross vehicle weight/center of gravity issue. With the bash plates, steel bumpers, 35" spare tire, rock rails, 2.7 engine, etc. . . . adding payload weight to the roof can make the vehicle prone to rollovers. All should be aware of this before adding a roof rack, it could potentially be very dangerous.”

There is a risk, but I assume Ford would have a factor of safety in their calcs and a little over won't be too bad.
JPye
Yeah, I understand engineering safety factors, but if Ford can't certify the rack with the Badlands, I am not going to stick my neck out and ignore them. I am selling my bronco on Monday. Best of luck to you.

Just a PSA for anyone looking at an extended warranty. With an American address I was able to get the Ford ESP Premium Care Plan 7 year, 100k mile(160k Kms) for $1400 USD through Granger. My local dealer quoted me over 8k for an 8 year 200k package.

the question is can you use a PO box as an address or does it have to be a residential address
bodean

I used a PO Box without issue.

Thanks! Does anyone have experience with actually trying to use a ESP that was bought in the US but used here in Canada? Likely not with a Bronco but perhaps another Ford vehicle? I'm worried that they may not honour it 3 years down the road.

Anyone recommend some off road trails in Ontario around Toronto?

Curious - it looks like Ford is cracking down on Xplan in Canada via the Mustang Club of America. I’ve already generated my pin, but haven’t used it yet - now when I try to login it’s limited to America only and my pin is gone. Not good.

Ya sorry I asked what you were talking about ?
but it’s okay now I figured it out all good

I heard from the beginning that the X plan didn't apply to the Mustang or Bronco. I can tell you that A plan(Ford Employee and family,) Z Plan (retired Ford employees and family,) and D Plan (dealer pricing?) all worked for the Bronco.

Good luck! It saved us about $6000 CAD off the top on a 2dr Badlands, Hugh Package, 7mt.
Seagull

I don’t think it ever applied stateside, but there are a few stories here of people who got Xplan. So I’ll report back in a little while.

Did anybody else get this email? I’m feeling very fortunate today!

May be just my luck but my experience has been that mine was built and I rec'd the VIN in January but it's still sitting in Michigan waiting for chips :(. My dealer has no ETA but it's been sitting in the same status for the last 3 months.

Hello all. I'm Mark I live in Alberta and was thinking on setting up a few spring club runs in to the mountains. Would anyone else be interested in joining with helping set up the run or just joining the fun.

I live in Vancouver bc and my bronco shipped this week I'm just wondering what other people are seeing for wait times to dealership. It says convoy shipping. I'm assuming its one of those double decker trucks. Can I track those?

Are people still waiting for 2021's?

For those of you that have taken delivery of a 2022 Bronco did you pay MSRP from the 2021 model or just MSRP on the base price. Was optional equipment at the new 2022 prices? eg modular bumper goes from included to $600. Bull bar went from $150 to $300. Thx

Selling my Rockrails off my 4DR Badlands Sasquatch. Only 3 weeks old. Haven't even been offroad yet.

Hey! Congrats! So, this means the headquarters in Illinois has picked your truck for delivery in their system.
This info will go to dispatch (likely in London) do be scheduled to a convoy.
Basically, as soon as a truck/spot is available, it'll ship. I think on day 2 this populated with dates... And it arrived in Kitchener that night at 8:20pm 👍🏻
Won't be long now!

Hey! Do we track convoy thru palsapp or Cassen?
Cassen shows nothing on my built Bronco but palsapp gives me info/freight number 🤷
Do they hand off logistics to Cassen?

So, I'm in Kitchener ON. Bronco is being built on the 17th.
For those of you along the 401 corridor who have recieved their Bronco already, how long a wait was it for transportation?
I'm assuming shipped by convoy. 🤷🏻

hey.... I know us Canadians get Cassen delivery, but when I enter my VIN I don't get anything (I'm built with a 11/26 delivery)
But when I enter my vin in the palsapp website I get info! 🤷

Alright, so dump question or Ford glitch… but was curious and went on the build & price for fun…

if you switch to a 4 door bronco on each trims, the roof disappears. Even if you toggle the roof on and off button.
I hope it’s a glitch because it would be pretty stupid to sell a bronco with no roof and make you pay for one… soft top is like 2k…

Has anyone lucky enough to take delivery also recieved their 62,000 Ford Pass Points as well (262,000k if you switched from MOD to MIC/Soft)?

I'm truly hoping they honour these points for us 🇨🇦 but it wouldn't surprise me if they claim it is only for 🇺🇲.

Also wondering what the "exchange rate" is in these points as Ford Canada is seeking parts at roughly 60% mark-up from FoMoCo's catalog and if the points have a 1=1 dollar value ratio that'll be complete BS....

I hate going into things being jaded but seeing how the test of the rollout has gone.... It's kinda hard not to be

I took mine a week ago and i have only gotten the 40,000 points. Anyone reading this, contact Ford Pass Rewards directly to get those Points. The dealership cannot add points, it is Ford.
CO-Bronco
CO-Bronco
@ThatGuyatFord see, my understanding is the 42,000k comes from Ford Pass Rewards division as the typical "New Vehicle" purchase.

The remaining 20,000k gets added to your account by your dealer upon purchase (part of the Ford apology for delays).
ThatGuyatFord
ThatGuyatFord
@CO-Bronco I have not received the 20,000 or received information for the dealer steps to get those points on your account. I am the Bronco Specialist at Kitchener Ford. My understanding is we need to contact FordPass Rewards to get the points.
Thomas1984
Thomas1984
@ThatGuyatFord I called Ford pass points there’s a cutoff period and you had to receive an email with a coupon code, I only got the 40000 points for buying the bronco.
Thomas1984
Thomas1984
Mine went on automatically I got an email, did you get 40000?
ThatGuyatFord
ThatGuyatFord
So I just got off the Phone with FordPass points. There is no Cutoff period that they are aware of. The 40,000 points go on pretty quickly but the additional points you may be entitled to, will take 30 days to go on your account. 30 days starts on the delivery date! If it has not gone on by that point then you will need to call FordPass and they can activate on their end!
I hope this helps everyone!
Thomas1984
Thomas1984
@ThatGuyatFord Ford pass told me there’s a cut off time and if you didn’t get an email with a code you are not getting the extra points
