We moved the spare to the roof basket so we could flip the hitch and get the right height for towing. The spare had to be out of the way to do that. Since the Burro is taller than the Bronco, it didn't seem to negatively affect the gas mileage, plus we can open the trunk wider too.
haha I’ve read that some Turo owners lock their hitches to prevent towing. Besides, I’d feel a little better breaking the rules with a big rental company than with a private owner... But this definitely crossed my mind.
The MPG on the hybrid LC is a big draw for us — and it looks super cool too. The higher price is a downside of course. GTK your take on how it drives. We've also considered trucks and prefer Toyota’s look over Ford's.
We’re planning to full-time RV for about a year, but not until we get a new...
I definitely want to try the WDH — we already have the hardware but can't install it because our trailer's jack is interestingly placed off to one side. I’m planning to replace it with an electric jack and move it to the center like most setups. I was a bit concerned about the extra weight of...
You’re pretty much set. You’ll just need a ball mount and hitch ball for the Bronco’s 2" receiver. If you tow different trailers, a height-adjustable mount is a good idea. Just make sure to calculate the correct drop or rise—there are plenty of helpful tutorials online for that.

It's my pleasure. We did a lot of research before getting the trailer too, and hearing from others really helped us. Good luck on finding the right pop-up!
Yeah, that makes sense—it’s more noticeable in your case since it is a downgrade from the F250. We haven’t really towed with anything else before, so the Bronco felt like a solid starting point. That said, we’ve been tossing around the idea of switching to something more capable like the new...
After renting a TAXA Cricket, a Scamp 13ft, and an A-Liner, we knew the Bronco can tow and we felt ready to buy our own trailer.
We have been searching for the perfect trailer for a while — something that felt sustainable and comfortable for longer trips. Our must-haves are a fixed bed, a...
Hello fellow Bronco6G owners,
Sharing here the process for us to be able to tow a camper trailer as first timers without a factory tow package on our Base Bronco Standard Transmission 2.3L Engine.
We are lovers of the great outdoors and decided to get the Bronco with the intention of using...
Thank you for your response, it helps! I think I'm going to give it a try and see for myself what i think about the Echo now that i know it's possible to use for the aftermarket tow package.
I looked at the 7-pin product you have linked and it's almost the same as the one i am using (difference...
Hello Everyone,
I have a 2-door Base and in the process of installing a brake controller for a DIY Tow Package.
I have used the Curt 4-pin wiring harness and converted it to a 4/7 pin connector. I have wired the 4 pins to their corresponding pins in the 7-pin version, and that left me with 3...
