Anyway, finally did another oil change, took off front panel, loosened front three bolts on trans panel, then removed all bolts from oil...
I scratched my head (figuratively) on this for quite awhile last time I was underneath it and didn't come up with your reported results. I've taken more than a few things apart and put them back together in my day. Mine's about due for change #5. I'll give this a try verbatim.

Sorry to see that. Not to -de-rail- but I was set on ARBs until I researched Rockhard 4x4 (upswept). They sandwich the pinch welds with thru bolts and thick washers, and attach to factory rail locations, AND attach to body-chassis mounts.
Only gripe was having to drill them to eat the heads of...
Shots fired! Disappointing you didn't get an access hatch- another poster suggested they were expecting it to be an update on future orders.

Turn version looks vertical only, although maybe enough metal there to drill new holes.
Want to push spare ~ 1-1/2" to the left. Looks like enough room to still clear bumper and 3rd brake light would get moved...
