Did you go yet? You might want to avoid the D trails and certain sections of Rocky Mountain loop. Some steel skids, especially the gas tank skid and some rock sliders will come in handy if you’re wanting to do the trails above.

Not yet, spring travel baseball is eating up my weekends. I'm a novice, so I'll start on the easy ones.

Love to hear about your experience! I am planning on taking my BD down there whenever I get it.

There’s this tempting event:
Ford Bronco Ready for Uwharrie C74F2722-E873-4C29-8F14-D6BB2512AF0C

It’s gonna be a big event, great day. Guided rides for people not familiar or new to it. One of my groups ,FMC is going to be there, along with several other clubs, and of course, you don’t have to be “part of the club” to join in.

come on out!

Some example pics for those not familiar.
Some/most trails you can run open diffs, decent tires, no air down.
And some pretty much require a spotter, lift, aggressive tires, some know-how (or a lot of trust in your spotter, or both!).
FWIW I have not run Daniel or Dickey Bell (yet), as I did not trust what I was in at the time to be able to do it safely and make it back home.
That's all changed now.
Some trails are under maintenance right now, portions closed down to re-route or bypass due to erosion or plain old people tearing up more than they should.

1st photo courtesy of CORE offroad. It is typical of most of Rocky Mtn loop. Lots of smaller rocks to traverse, some mud, lots of up and down.

Other photos are random ones.
The last one is a rollover on Dutch John, which is a slick, slippery, devil of a trail when wet.
Several rolls there happen because people start to slide, get crossed up, and lose it.

MOST Trails are pretty mundane, just a fun time off-pavement. Some are intermediate-challenging fun, and few are pretty high-strung, respectfully.

OP, you may be fully aware of what Uwharrie is, and if so these are for whoever is curious.
Love to see some people venture out, get some dirt on their rig.
