I'm not interested in the Ranger but - I get you have the 2.3. Probably stiffer suspension in the Ranger than Badlands. Each has its own purpose. I had a 1985 2dr Ranger. Now I have the 2dr Badlands w/2.7. I'll probably stick with a roof top tent for now, maybe an offroad trailer in a few years.Ranger tows 7,000 pounds with the 2.3 without any issues, plus an extra 1,000 of payload in the bed/cab, that should be all you need to know for how the Bronco is somehow magically able to tow 3,500 lbs while being cursed with the unable-to-tow-anything 2.3 engine.
