Boy, I really needed to get this going, packages just keep arriving. It has been a long (Aug of 2020 res) time coming but the Bronc has finally arrived !!!!!! 2DR 2.7 Base Squatch in Shadow Black. Or as I like to term a "Basetrak". All the thrills with none of the frills !!!!! Those "frills" I can add. ;)

I will try to keep it short because I can ramble on, just ask @KillerPenz ;) . I will try and chime people in here in case they would like to see my progress, I will forget some, and others will come later but they are not in any particular order just as I can remember. @MadMan4BamaNATL gave me the idea and thought I would "roll" with it. 😁 But for those that know, you know, but for those that don't here it is. The "BAUS" is part of my last name and it is pronounced "boss". hence the "boss" Bronc. Not a young buck here, just an old timer that loves wheelin' and racin'. Got wind of the new Bronc back in late '19 when we saw the first body lines of the 6G. Joined B6G in Jan of 20 to get insight into how to get one ASAP!!!!

Guess you know what I will be doing with my "BRONCO" letters. ;) Then the whole thing fell apart from 2DR floor pans being damaged in shipping, then the MIC debacle, then 2.7s giving up their guts, making me ditch my beloved AMB  , going through a COVP program for 22 and still not built, and on and on. Then watching as orders that were placed after my re-reorder and getting built I was beginning to wonder if it was ever going to happen. Then out of the blue when all hope was lost. I got the e-mail. 😳 Build date of Mar 6th. Didn't get pushed. Built on Mar 7th. Then the delivery date kept changing, dealer would tell me any day now. Then that magical day. I just got home from work and my phone rang..... I got a package just off the truck. It was only about a half an hour till they closed but I could not resist.

Purchasing it could be a thread all to it's own. :( So I will leave those specifics out, for now.

.........put some steps on it in a few days to make it easier for the family to get in and keep the "road debris" at bay. They also stick out far enough to keep those jerks at the mall from slamming their door into mine. 😁

Shouldn't be too hard to whip up some brackets to the frame to "sturdy" them up a bit. ;)

Got a nice day here in PA to take out the front top sections and enjoy the weather. 😁

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0381.JPG

Then started to fit up my front bumper to see how much room I needed for the winch.

The winch should end up back and up a bit further once I get my package, that arrived today thanks to @Mishimoto , installed this weekend ;) ........................

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0440.JPG

......Then I can fab up some frame brackets to get the winch mounted and move on to building some skids.

That is all I got for now. More to come.....stay tuned. 😁

Reserved for intercooler install. 😁

Well here it is .......................... Mishimoto's High Road Intercooler, sometimes I refer to it as "the high mount".

First a bit of a back story. I work a second job now on Saturday mornings, so my "wrenching" would have to wait a bit. So as a last hurrah for being "stock" I dove it to work. Not 200 miles on the clock.

After work, got home, packed my pouch, headed for the garage. I needed to have this done before Sundays Easter dinner at my sisters farm.

Step one. I tell people this all the time. ANY time you touch a plug on a vehicle you need to disconnect the negative battery terminal. Just had a new guy at my new job and he did not do it on a 19 Duramax when installing a computer upgrade and he is now looking for new employment. ;)

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0458.JPG

I could fill three pages of pics and I think most that will see this already knows how the new Broncs are to work on. I will spare you every step. 😁

Get your side markers, marked, so when you reinstall the headlights you can get them in the right spot so it lines up with the grille.

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0459.JPG

Its not long and you can have it naked.

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0471.JPG

BIG pile of plastic by the time your done. :ROFLMAO:

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0469.JPG

Nice stuff!!!! Too bad most of it is covered up.

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0478.JPG

Once naked reassembly is all that is left.

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0486.JPG

Getting the brackets correct and getting the headlights in the right spot is the hardest but not difficult. Attention to detail is your friend.

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0484.JPG

All that was left was the bracing for the grille and valance............

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0596.JPG

.......then the outer bits.

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0491.JPG

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0492.JPG

Had enough time left to give a good bath.........

..........Off to Easter dinner......

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0500.JPG

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0501.JPG

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0502.JPG

..........................Still not 200 miles. NO check engine light. Runs like a champ !!! ;)

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0504.JPG

The only drawback was I did not get a chance to cut off the IC's shutter tabs to check the winch but from what I did see it will come together nicely. Next couple of days I will update with some pics of the winch and bumper mocked up, just ran out of time today. :(

Stay tuned. 😁

reserved for something else. :ROFLMAO:

UPDATE!!!!!!!

Hard to believe it has been a month since my IC install. 🤪 I thought I would have the winch mounted by now but I don't get much time to work on the Bronc.

So I went to install my front bumper now that my IC is on so I can get my winch mounted and found out my cheap ass bumper has some pretty solid brackets to reinforce the factory bumper pads.

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0561.JPG

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0562.JPG

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0563.JPG

And of course, typical for me, I could not find a way to get these on without removing the IC from it's mounts. So I proceeded to tear it all back down to get the IC "loose" enough to get the bumper brackets on. Mine use a bolt tough the frame and not individual bolts like the LOD brackets. But first I had to trim the inner brackets so they would clear the IC.

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_E0588.JPG

And boy let me tell you what ........... it is tight!!!!!! I had to use some swivels and twist things the right way but I got the 4 bolts in without cross threading them. But it all fits. 😁

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0597.JPG

Ford Bronco The "Baus" Bronc IMG_0598.JPG

I was going to do an inside frame mount for my winch but now that is a no-go so I am working on the outside mount now.

Looks kinda funny with a big hole in the middle. 🙃
