Hey folks - Got 20k miles on the odo now and I have loved every mile of this 86 mile/day journey. Gonna make a few posts and highlights will include:

After adding a few accessories and buying some recovery gear, we decide to take "Ardennes" to Santa Fe and Moab.

Can't show up to off roadeo with a clean truck

Off roadeo Moab was a ton of fun - only off roadeo location where wheeling is on publicly accessible trails

They showed us some dino footprints that showed up after a ton of rain

After the return trip; about 9500 miles on the odo at this point (also about the time I start hearing that MT grinding noise...)

For a bit after Moab my trips are based mostly around Texas. On one occasion I tried the On X app to find dirt paths along the back roads to DFW. Have found that app to be very useful!

Made a few friends along the route

Finally got my buddy to come wheeling with me out at Hidden Falls. Let's not talk about how a Jeep had to winch him off a rock.....

The impracticalities of trying to park with KC lights....

So I decide I need two more! Also, I need the trailer tow wiring kit, IAG interior lights, and wiring from the battery directly to the fridge

Oh... and I also need a winch!

Next: Limb risers go on for a trip to NC!

Nice! I use OnX when I'm out on trips, peeking for little spots here or there. Works really great in eastern OK. Went on some interesting side routes using Apple Maps and OnX on my way to Merus month or so ago.

Have you been to Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose? The tracks right in the entrance are cool. except I kept walking by it, wondering why this big hole had caution tape wrapped around it... I just thought it was so people didn't fall in it!

Been wanting to do Hidden Falls, was just talking to @EddieN other day about day tripping down there. If you're up in DFW and want to roll out to Bridgeport (Northwest OHV), hit me up.

I went with a lightbar so I had to improvise.

Yeah I really have come to like On X. I don’t use all of the features but definitely liked the offline functionality while in Co.

Have not heard of Dino Valley SP - will have to check that out.

And yeah I’ll try to get a trip to DFW where timing for a day at Northwest OHV could work out. Would rope in a ‘yota friend, too.

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing! I too live in Austin - I just got my bronco a few weeks ago, heading to HiddenFalls in September when hopefully it's cooler!

Also on my list is Padre Island National Seashore and headed to southern Colorado in Oct.

Looking forward to hearing more about your trips!

Made final preparations for a fly fishing trip to Asheville, NC. The HF hitch mounted rack is hugely helpful.

Had to get some seafood while passing through LA.

Limb risers came on before heading into the mountains. Oh and cooler weather meant the top had to come down.

Most important meal of the day calls for the best donuts I've ever had. From a place called "Hole Doughnuts" there in AVL.

Some of our friends wanted to go on a boring train ride so we found dirt.

I think we got near 5000 ft. The mountains we find later in CO are MUCH bigger....

And burgers, of course....
