If the Subwoofer is making noise it might be blown, would reccomend taking it to the dealer for a swap.
And I’d say certain eras of hip hop have bass and subsonic lows that are just going to thrash lower end speakers. The 90s-era mixes were almost designed to provoke distortion. Not everything is going to reproduce well on every system.

I was searching and searching for information on this topic. Forscan? looks like this is not needed. I was wanting to upgrade the rear sub first with the Kicker (4ohm) 48CWR84 just to have a better made sub and hopefully at higher volume would get rid of sub clap (which with big bass songs, sound horrible. ex Big Poppa by the Notorious B.I.G.) and then if that helped I was going to change out the rear pods probably with the Mabett 6.5" with kicker speakers.

Would any of this help with the '25 B&O system? I do not want to throw money away obviously and I do not plan to change out the amp. ($$wife says no)

Also, on the other side I guess I do not want to add to my 55 year old diminished hearing:sneaky:

Any tips or tricks on this topic would be so very helpful... Reading through these threads can be pretty rough due to advice running off topic.

I do realize that there are some extremely smart and helpful professionals on here and your advice and wisdom are greatly appreciated.
I have that subwoofer (48CWR84), happy to sell it to you at 50% of what I paid for it ($50 bucks plus shipping).

I ended up going with a Kicker 48TRTP122.

Hello, this is actually my first post. I also have a 2025, but I have the Big Bend with the stock 7 speaker system. I have to say, I was confused by all the hate for the sound system. I was pleasantly surprised by the stereo and sound. The sub woofer, while not earth shaking, was able to be heard and felt. Definitely notice the lack of any tweeters. Overall however it is far from the worse sound system I have ever heard. I am coming from a 2022 Jeep Gladiator and the sound system in that was way worse. That being said, I am still planning to replace the front 4 inch speakers as well as the rear pods.

I think you will find it is mostly complaints about the upgraded "premium" B&O system. While the B&O does preform better than the base 7 speaker system, you know what you are getting with the base system. It is not terrible. you get what you expect.

The B&O is a significant up charge and is marketed as a "premium" system. As such it seems to fall far short of most people's expectations of what a "premium" system (with a significant upcharge) should sound like. It is kind of like paying for a nice marbled tenderloin and being served a cut of chuck. It is a disappointment. The base system is a hamburger, you paid for a hamburger... no complaints, it is decent ground beef.

And yet it sounds like you would like cheese and bacon on that burger... I agree it would be more pleasing.

Just a note: this OP was about the MY25 ‘upgraded’ system — which is a different system than the previous model years.

I understand.... AND it appears (based on comments here) that the 25 system has been improved over the 21 to 24 system.... Got that.... and Warsteiner 's comments were regarding the base system and not understanding the level of disappointment.....

Your point is an important differentiation. Really there are at least three different main systems and then all kinds of variations with sub deletes and fake amps due product supply during a pandemic...

There was not a significant upcharge for the B&O system. It is part of a package that comes with numerous other upgrades as well...

Just because they hid the B&O pricing inside an all or nothing upgrade does not mean you did not pay for that.... There damn well was a significant upcharge.
Your point is that it simply was not a-la- carte.....

No. The stereo was part of a package. And packages cost money ($2825 here). The B&O is only small piece of that package- if anything it is a minor upgrade compared to adaptive cruise control, which on it own is often a $2k upgrade:
    • 360-Degree Camera
    • Adaptive Cruise Control
    • B&O® Sound System by Bang & Olufsen®, 12 Speakers including Subwoofer
    • Evasive Steering Assist
    • Front Parking Sensors
    • Information on Demand Panel (included in SYNC® 4 with Enhanced Voice Recognition)
    • Mirrors, Sideview – LED Approach Lamps and LED Spotlight
    • Universal Garage Door Opener
If you don't like packages, that's fine. But as far as packages go, this wasn't a very expensive one when you get so many up features.

So... could you purchase a base model and add this package at this price?... HHmmmm....

I thought, initially, that the B&O 7-driver sytem in my '24 PRaptor sound plenty OK, and I still do, BUT I really miss the bottom-two octaves of bass*, so I'm soon adding this subwoofer system...
https://www.crutchfield.com/p_541TXFBB12/AudioControl-TXFBB12.html?tp=113

and a 2-channel poweramp with speaker-level inputs and remote level control.

Will add some damping to those sheetmetal panels.

Of course, using the speaker-output signals from the original amp will bring with it the original-system's bass equalization, so that may be a problem.. We'll see.

.

* ANYONE who desribes a 6-1/2"-driver as a subwoofer ought to be strerilized so he/she can't procreate.

LOL, ya, nope! Otherwise I would have ordered a V6 2 door Base Lux package with 4A and a rear locker.

Back in 2021 there was a difference between the high and the lux package... only a few major differences for $3k. The high package got you 75% of the upgrades (only the heated steering wheel, B&O, adaptive cruise control, and the universal garage door opener were significant). That was a $3k upgrade in 2021-2023 over the high package.

This was an interesting read and something I wish I came upon before upgrading the B&O in my ‘25 Raptor to the Hertz Dieci package. Have yet to install the 6.5” pods but I feel like I notice a massive difference. Now I’m not sure if that’s the speakers or the amount of sound insulation I put in an around the pods.

I can't speak directly to the B&O in the 2025 Bronco, but the B&O setup in my 2022 Mustang is garbage. I think OP must have spent too much time next to some giant speaker stacks or something ;)
