Did you verify the polarity of each speaker against the factory wiring diagrams? With my 2022 B&O system if I'd just plugged in the 72-5603 Metra adapters as they were built it would've resulted in the polarity being backwards.

That was an issue in the past but Metra corrected it by the time that I did my upgrade this past Summer.

I did. Polarity is correct. I think on the 6.5s they sounded bad due to not fitting in factory hole. Too much free space between speaker and hole causing a bad seal. I ordered the adapters, and we'll see if that corrects the issue.

Another good tip. If you noticed, the factory speakers had a filter screen over top of them because gravity settles dust downward. I bought some speaker cloth and hot glued it to the insides of the factory dash speaker grills as grit in here will hinder the reflex motion, especially of the tweeters.

Great writeup! Are the factory kick panel speakers just a woofer or are they 2way or coaxials? I'm leaning towards doing the Hertz Cento setup but am not sure it's worth doing the kick panel speakers. I don't believe that it sends full EQ to those speakers but could be wrong on that.

I believe they are, what I would call, a midrange.

Memphis Mojo pros in the kick panels. Did a nice job for me. Use the Metra adapter plates.
I'm kicking myself for not buying them this past summer when they were $79.99 each. They even hovered at $89.95 for a few months. Now I'm seeing them for $130. Ugh

I know. I bought them at $100 each over the summer.

Looks like they are just a midrange speaker to me. Here's a zoom in shot of the stock speaker

Nice writeup - get yourself a set of Memphis MOJO Pro 6 for the kick panels.
I followed JohnnyMo’s every direction, including the MOJO Pro 6s and couldn’t be more pleased with the sound quality and fullness.
You’re the man Johnny👍

Didn't realize they'd revised it, but glad to hear they fixed it.

Ford has its own DSP tune and the B &O tune is excellent when paired with right speakers and an equalizing sub amp plus good sub.

They are "mid bass" typically DSP tune is 70-300 hz. Worth upgrading but not with cheap speakers, the Cento level is the absolute lowest you should go. Plus a sound deadener piece inside. B&O are not bad.

Hertz delivers excellent product and value. I have a set of unused Hertz C165F that id let go cheap and a pair of DCX 100.3.

I personally use Hertz MP165.3 kicks and MPBX300S2 tailgate mounted 12" sub, and would have used all Hertz if they had better 4" choices incl woofers, got Audison (Hertz sister) AP4 pods, Ground Zero BMW center for dash corners, and a Scan Speak 11M center.

Also mind if I ask rough total cost?

No rattle from stock enclosure? Mine is god awful right now (have bass settting at 1 or 0)

And any reason you didn’t upgrade rear speaker pod enclosure to get bigger size there?
Strange...I've never had a rattle stock or MoBridge!
