Great writeup! Are the factory kick panel speakers just a woofer or are they 2way or coaxials? I'm leaning towards doing the Hertz Cento setup but am not sure it's worth doing the kick panel speakers. I don't believe that it sends full EQ to those speakers but could be wrong on that.
I'm happy with the Cento C165L's, but I went with the MoBridge solution...

Strange...I've never had a rattle stock or MoBridge!
tune 7.webp
I think it’s the POS stock sub and less so that enclosure. Sweet setup, what’s the size of that JL? 8” given stock enclosure?

Thanks...it's a very old 8W1v2-4 from 2012.
I plugged the enclosure port and that's about all I did besides adding a mount ring to help the enclosure accept and seal the speaker...it works really well!

Why is the stock amp still in there with the mobridge?
It's a 2 door, MoBridge doesn't fit there, so I left it in place to save shelf space! lol

I've never had a problem with Kicker. Better then skar, but not by much. I get it for sure, but ain't boujee with my sound. Just sounds good that's all I need. Don't need to be technical for me.

Here's a Pic of the harness from Plug and Play Kits. I can't say enough great things about this company. The harness literally plugs into stock B&O amp, and then into stock plugs. What it does is add a jumper off the side to use with Kicker key amps as high level input. If your not familiar with the Kicker Key amp series..... short version...... it uses stock high level inputs coming out of stock amp, and processes them to maximize sound without regulation from stock signal. Also uses Key switch power to turn on and off like stock. Look into it. Great technology.
What did you pay for that Plug and Play Harness, and did you have to modify the sub enclosure much to go to an 8" Sub?

I paid $600 from them for harness, amp, and sub. Yes the sub trim ring had to be modified, and the enclosure as well. Very minor sanding with a dremal

I have the B&O system and replaced my roll bar speakers with the same Kicker 6.5 inch speakers and SSV pods. I also replaced the corner dash speakers with the same Kicker 4 inch speakers. I didn't use bass blockers on my dash speakers and the sound difference with just replacing these is massive. Especially from the 6.5 inch speakers. Really clear sounding, crisp and much louder. It only took me about 1.5 hours to replace all four. I'm really happy with the Kickers.

I wanted to replace the center dash speaker but wanted to hold off until I could see how much of a difference in Kickers made and since you have to buy them in pairs, I would've had an extra speaker laying around. But I have the feeling I'm going to end up replacing it and the foot well speakers and subwoofer eventually. Especially when we get closer to beach weather this year when I have the top/doors off every weekend.

The color on the center of the tweeter matches the accents in my Badlands pretty closely too which was a happy coincidence.

Parts list -

-SSV Works 2021-2026 Ford Bronco 2-Door Rear Speaker Pod Upgrade 6.5" Weatherproof Plug & Play Roll Cage Mount Unloaded Enclosures Only - 230-BR-2B65U

-KICKER 46CSC654 CS-Series CSC65 6.5-Inch (160mm) Coaxial Speakers, 4-Ohm (Pair)

-KICKER 46CSC44 CS-Series CSC4 4-Inch (100mm) Coaxial Speakers, 4-Ohm (Pair)

I may do pods in summer once I figure out if we take top off or not. Raptor sadly can only use MTI pods apparently. So I may upgrade once I see how it sounds with top off. Overall we are very pleased with the Kickers. Alot of bad talk on this forum about them, but they sound great to our untrained ears.

Do you have a link or part number of the plug and play harness?
