The 2025 is very different. The amp now powers all speakers. And is quite bigger. The Front and Rear L and R are different speakers and the amp itself is much bigger. I can provide some pics of the speakers later this evening. For touts that the dash L/R counts as two speakers as well as the kick panel. The now call it a 12 speaker system in their documentation.

Here is the Amp:

I love (sarcasm) how Ford counts a coaxial as 2 speakers..... You don't purchase them that way though... You purchase 1 coaxial speaker. LOL... If I counted that way I guess mine would be a 13 speaker system now LOL....

I am glad that they listened to the complaints and improved the system though.

I cannot count the output (number of channel wires) there but it appears that maybe they are separating the signal to the woofers (in the kick panels) and the signal to the left and right dash speakers??? So maybe the DSP has some active signal separation. I would think that would help improve the output.

Dust cap on the sub suggests a much larger motor structure which again... It really needed.

I have a 2025, and have had an others (22,23,24) with B&O as well. In the 2025 it’s not worth it to just swap to a new subwoofer unless you plan to get a new external amp to power the subwoofer. The 2025 B&O system is a substantial improvement over the previous years.

Also for the front speakers, you will gain clarity at the expense of volume. I have tested kicker, hertz, and infinity. In previous years it was a massive upgrade and volume wasn’t affected as much. Do all 3 dash speakers or you will have an imbalance in volume that causes it to not sound great since there is such a discrepancy in output. Also, polyfill and sound deadening are your friend, even with stock speakers.
I noticed a substantial improvement on my 2025 B&O when I replaced the sub with a kicker. It sounds like I have an aftermarket much larger sub back there.

I would ask if it was a 2ohm or a 4ohm? Might explain why you would be producing significantly "louder" sub frequencies with the same power. I think the stock sub is a 4ohm... At least the pre 25 sub was 4 ohm (with a very small motor structure)....

There are 4 wires in the sub enclosure. You run one set to one VC and the other set to the other VC.

interesting... do not know how they are handling that at the amp... potentially running as two separate channels.... Must be... You would not spend the money to run the extra wire if they were not... Well it sounds like it has worked out well for you.... That is awesome! Thank you for helping me understand what changes are happening with the new B&O... I appreciate it.

This is the one I went with
DS18 SLC-8S Subwoofer in Black - 8-Inch Speaker, 400W Max Power, 200W RMS Power, Aluminum 4 Layer Voice Coil, Black Steel Frame, SVC, 4 Ohm Impedance, Ferrite Magnet (1 Speaker) (SLC8S)

Should I have gone with a different one?
There is no right or wrong.....I was seriously contemplating a Focal, Audison, Kenwood 8" in the $300+ range.....Hear the Kenwood 8" loaded enclosure kicks hard and it's small.

Don’t get me wrong, you will get clarity with new speakers but will have to turn the volume up while listening. I changed the front 3 and rear pods to Kicker KCS40’s and then added a separate sub amp and sub. I DO think you can get away with just a powered sub. I ran that setup for months and with just polyfill and sound deadening the other speakers. I changed the other speakers because I had extra just laying around and I was bored lol.
My B&O w only separate equalizing sub amp, loaded sub enclosure and new like for like speakers sound like a $12K new car optional systems no joke.

For the pre 2025 systems this was true. Especially with mobridge or a key amp. Things changed quite a bit with the 2025. Speakers I previously used in my older Broncos don’t all sound great in my 2025. Seems like the dep has been adjusted for 2025+ since the stock amp powers more speakers. Not doubting your system, just saying it’s not necessarily apples to apples comparison.

Here is a photo of the OEM new rear speaker vs the old.

So "it appears" that they have replaced the center and rear pods - the three full range speakers with the coaxials they were using in the left and right dash.... That is huge upgrade... I found the B&O left and right dash speakers (pre 25) were actually not bad. (the rest sucked but...) I replaced them all with a matching set... but those two were the only thing decent about the pre 25 B&O.... Good on them.

Note: I am assuming they are the same.... just looking at the "new" rear pod speaker.

Confirmed the front and rear part numbers for the 25+ B&O system are the same. Also, to clarify the center speaker has not been changed.
