Subjectively, I’ve found it to be very effective. I make a lot of trips from SF Bay Area to Pasadena and back on I-5 to visit family and friends. That highway passes a lot of orchards and farmlands. One of my early trips without the deflector, from just Tracy to Coalinga rest area (halfway), my windshield looked like this:

As soon as I got back, I bought the Aeroskin-II deflector from Ford Accessories. In all the trips I’ve made since then, I’ve never collected as many bug guts with the deflector as I did without it.
I'd give it a solid "meh." It seems to move the bugs up the windshield a bit, giving me a wider band I can duck under to see through, but it isn't massively significant. It does nothing for rain, little for snow, and anyone who claims it helps with rock chips is a liar haha. It also prevents water from draining off the hood. I actually like how it looks, though, and the texture is very similar to my base grille so it ties in well.
