I'm in the market for Power Steps and I'm wondering what everyone thinks.

Amp XL is one of the better options on the market. Holds good weight, sturdy, and very few complaints about their motors not working.

I just received a set of SoFlo Jeep/Bronco customs today. They are a shop here in S.FL. The box is SUPER HEAVY. I have heard that they are a version of AMPS setup with some twists. I do off-road, but here in S.FL, we do not have the rocks like out west. Most of our Rock Gardens are made. So I'll see how these are and report back.

These will be for my BRaptor.

I have the RSEs and they are decent steps, but they cost twice as much as other options - so I dunno that I would necessarily recommend them if you don’t need the durability.

I don’t know enough about the other options to really recommend one over another though.

I have the RC’s on mine. Work great, no issues in the year I’ve had them.

We have Amp steps on our Bronco. They are fine for light off roading. They won’t hold up well to dragging them over rocks though.

We had Rockslide Engineerings steps on our previous Jeep Gladiator. They are a much narrower step surface than the Amp steps, but they will take a hit much better.

I went with the RC steps for a few reasons:
- it’s my wife’s Bronco & her idea of off roading is parking in a puddle so I didn’t need to worry about them being a rock rail/slider.
- RC was inexpensive so if she hated them, I wouldn’t have to cry too hard.
- solid reviews
- dual motors
- plug & play - no splicing required

Tl:dr - +1 RC e-Steps

Do they fit the BRaptor without removing or trimming the front mud flaps?

@DeanL : I have seen them on a BRaptor without any modifications. There was a post where they were talked about and shown. There was no trimming done, and they fitted fine.

I will have my steps installed today, I'll let post here how it goes.

Also on a side note I think RC and GoRhino are the same manufacturer as they look almost identical

I've went with the rock slider engineering. I've had them for about 4 years. Never had any issues. They also have a option to get skid plate for them.

So, I have them on. These are the SoFlo customs Power boards.

1. They are heavy and sturdy. Thick. I was rather surprised by how thick they were.
2. They have 3 brackets. The motor is in the middle bracket. They can hold 600lbs.
3. They are the length of the side pinch. No poke out. They close up and tuck tight against the rail. They nearly look like a rock slide rail folded up.
4. Quiet. SUPER quiet. You will not hear them close.
5. They work off the CanBus. No door magnets, no OBCII ports. It had a module that ties into the wires on the passenger side and hooks to the battery.

So some things they do not have.
1. No button to make them stay up or down. They stay down if you close the door and put weight on them.
2. No lights. No led to show them at night, ect ect.

As I have said before, 6-4 1/2 290. I am not a small guy. When I had my OEM on the Braptor, I could feel them under, not give, but flex slightly. If I shifted on them, I knew they would not bend, but they did flex. So far, nothing. They just sit still; they are not flexing, they are not doing anything.
They drop down to 6inches below the pinch well, so some of my height challenge friends will not have an issue getting in/out.

So I'll see how they hold up. They are not rock rails, and they are not Rockslide Engineering Rails. But they are sturdy. I think they will hold up to what we have in S. FL. Time will tell.

@Ninjak those look intriguing - however they are only pre order. Curious how you got them. How many motors per side? Also would love to see install video.
